Posted May 24, 20178 yr ... what school would you pick to coach with top 3 reasons why. GO! (maybe a silly question, but looking for some good ol' fashion off-season fun to bridge that gap until Week 1).
May 24, 20178 yr 1. Notre Dame, my love for the university and the program trumps any recruiting adversities and so on. 2. Nebraska, my mom's alma mater and the tradition is up there with the elite programs. Riley is starting to (re)show that recruits will come if the situation is right. 3. UCLA, location, location, location! And they can recruit at a high level.
May 24, 20178 yr I sorry but I'd go with usc. 1) it's fertile recruiting ground. 2) it's sunny socal. 3) I'd commit some recruiting violations but would most likely only get a wrist slap.
May 24, 20178 yr Considering Notre Dame is my "dream school", this really would be a pretty easy decision for me...I'd go with Florida.
May 24, 20178 yr Penn State 1. history/tradition 2. recruiting in that area is never short on talent 3. stadium atmosphere
May 24, 20178 yr Ohio State - It's THE Ohio State University. It's also the crown jewel program in the midwest. Texas - Don't mess with Texas. Or all that high school talent. USC - It's hard to mess that up. And I'm afraid they are back. Stanford - The epitome of academic/athletic excellence. They also won't let you fail as a student there. No players getting kicked out, flunked out, etc.

May 24, 20178 yr Notre Dame would be a dream. You win here you're a legend. I think the pressure of the job is tremendous and I would be a relentless obsessive compulsive about it, similar to Leahy, and it'd probably kill me to try and achieve that Rockne or Leahyesque type success. But it would be totally worth it lol! Iowa would be a top three choice. It's just down the road, home team and all. Iowa State would be a possibility too for the same reasons, just not as popular within the state. Loads less pressure at either compared to ND. Third choice, that's a tough one. Army would be pretty cool, history of the program and the school, hard to imagine many neater places to play at during the fall. Maybe some school in the South or Southwest for the weather and to make my wife happy lol.
May 24, 20178 yr Not that anyone is surprised by your choice, but wtf. Ohio is a sh|thole. He'd fit in with the rest of those d!ckheads...
May 25, 20178 yr Not that anyone is surprised by your choice, but wtf. Ohio is a sh|thole. Not really, Columbus is a really nice city with a bunch of stuff to do.
May 26, 20178 yr South florida Miami any juco in south florida 1. I'm tired of 9 months of winter in colorado mountains. 2. Ready for a different set of problems 3. Get me outta here
May 30, 20178 yr South Carolina because I think their coach gets to golf at Augusta National. But really, USC or Miami.
May 30, 20178 yr Always wanted to coach at ND But 2nd and third choices.. Texas. Most money, easy recruiting, and you would be beloved if you won one. Cal. Nice weather and I would want to start my own tradition. They haven't had that in awhile. Also to note, never to a school and plays frequently. I couldn't do it to myself.
May 30, 20178 yr Not that anyone is surprised by your choice, but wtf. Ohio is a sh|thole. It's not a **** hole at all. Ohio State is where it's at. I believe they will even surpass Alabama soon. Check out their recruiting. It's insane. And now Kevin Wilson will be coaching the offense(I guess Alford being an OC there was just an excuse to leave?) I expect them to be unstoppable. So yes, I'd coach there please. I love ND football but there are reasons all the top coaches say no.
May 30, 20178 yr San Diego State. Nice weather, good recruiting, nice town, reasonable expectations. HC position there might not be a Brian Kelly salary, but it is still a heck of a lot more than I make.
