Jersey Irish
Hard to fathom but as of today, Bama has just 2 recruits! They had 3 but 4-star 2018 RB Dameon Pierce backed off his commitment yesterday.

I think they'll be fine and close with a dozen fives stars by February. I mean they only have to fall back on umpteen years of number one classes. ColinKSU
I think they'll be ok. They're probably just trying to figure out what 25 5-stars they want.
AlabamaDuck
They have to be very careful since they have to give four year scholarships now. If the player does not perform like the expected, they can not dump them.
LasVegasIrish
Correct me if I am wrong, but I've noticed Alabama usually doesn't get a ton of kids early. Usually in the mix with a ton of studs deciding between multiple schools that decide late. Many kids are heavy leans and such, but aren't officially committed... You meant to say that they are trying to figure which 5 out of 30 five stars they will have grey shirt...

The early signing period will change that.
LasVegasIrish
The early signing period will change that. Well yes, but that is also is Dec. The trend of recruits will remain the same in the sense that they will still not announce a commitment until late summer, fall, or even winter. I just mean that they typically do not have a crazy loaded class numbers wise until later in the process.
Jersey Irish
Saban is lurking in the weeds waiting to pluck committed 5-stars from other programs with his "the grass is always greener on the other side" pitch. You watch and see.
