Notre Dame-45

Purdue-23

PU's secondary is held by two freshmen and two JUCO transfers, so if NDs OL can protect BQ ND will score points.

I'm hoping the Irish come out strong after their last game, but the way first quarters have gone lately, who knows. Either way, they win the game.

IF OUR DEFENSE GIVES UP MORE THAN TWO TOUCHDOWN we know that there is much more work to be done on defense, zibby has to step up and be a leader.

Notre Dame - 48

Purdue - 17

the irish should win big there favored by14 points ???? hope they don't wait til the half to win it.

20-23 Purdue

im going out there for this one....im taking the irish 28...purdue 7

IMROC, is this a misprint your picking Purdue over the irish who play at the notre dame stadium, after the first qtr of MSU game i would say thats a good score but now i think the irish are ALLMOST back, if we get behind you have a good score, iam hoping that the irish get it on this week. go irish

Hopefully we get a fast start here, but heres a few stats that are important...

Purdues Total Defense out of 119 teams - 105th

Purdues Pass Defense out of 119 teams - 115th

But Purdues Total Offense out of 119 teams - 10th

So what this means is this could potentially come down to a shootout but I highly doubt that, Notre Dames defense/offense is a lot better than what the rankings show, as they have played a top five defense in Michigan and a top 20 defense in Georgia Tech, and believe it or not Penn States D is 25th, so I think Brady is going to have a huge day, and so will our rushing game with both Darius and JA running the ball, Purdue will score points, but we will score more Notre Dame 52 Purdue 21, period.

Oh yeah Michigan States offense was 5th too.

I don't see the Irish losing this game, but hey I didn't see them giving up 47 points to Michigan either...

I think the D will play much better this week, plus I don't think they will be on the field very much as the Irish will dominate time of possesion.

35-13 for the good guys....

Mr. Chainsaw the is a hail of a good solid analysis without all the verbage.

ND 60 Purdue 10

chiro no 60's (Weis calls it disrespect) I back off from predictions as of old 2005, I started only 2006 and cursed the team I just say a win and in spades

Until every team function proves to me that they can play a full 60 seconds, I will not pick a solid ND victory. Some say that alot of the guys need some work. I say ALL the guys need ALOT of work. Right now, I don't even think we can finish the schedule, as we have been playing without 3 more losses. Some will consider them upsets. Others should look at them as expectations. Am I saying this team sucks? Not at all. With a 4th year QB, WRs and a 3rd year RB, this offense could very well be the best that rested at ND. But until they prove to me that they ARE the best, I'm going to have to say they are way down the totum pole. As for the defense. I see alot of improvement, but the improvement is NOT continually improving week to week. If the team could play like they do when the clock is in the 2 minute drill...EVERY series, we could rock the NCAA world. If the defense plays hard like they they have show.... every play, they could very well redeem themselves and be heralded as a great defense.

All I see above is ALOT of "ifs"...alot! ND has a lot to prove to me this weekend. As it stands right now, in my mind...we may very well be on the path that leads to a first loss to NAVY in over 40 years and North Carolina is every bit a threat on the football field as they are on the Bball court. As for UCLA, I don't think we could hold the dirt of Pac-10...so you can guess how I feel about the USC game. Heck, I wouldn't even want to run into Ty's team this week!

But! Like I said, they DO have the chance to prove to me all the contrary, but seeing is believing and I've been watching for too many miserable years to have my mind changed by a series of disappointing games this season and other fan's ranting, raving and over-zealous hype.

This team has all that it needs to be the greatest.......will it live up to the hype? We'll see........

God, I hope I'm wrong and may our Blessed Mother pray for her children.

And IF...IF! Notre Dame beats PU, they had better finish by scoring at least 40 points and NOT give up pity points in the 4th quarter. An Ideal score would be similar to last season, but without letting down the guard, even with a host of freshman!

Ideal? 44-10 Notre Dame Can it be done.....

How about we will kick their ASS

UND - alot

PU - a little
