FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
That's the draw back to tackling in practice, but it is necessary, sorry its his shoulder, relieved for him its not a knee
golson5 221
Second player lost for spring and only 5 practices in
Irish_Convert 1
A separated shoulder can require a decent length of recovery but he'll probably be set to go by fall camp after rehab. It depends on the degree of the separation.
Frankus 210
I hope this is a result of more live scrimmage hitting in practice. I feel for the kid, but this program needs to be more physical and you do that by scrimmaging more.
Rocketsan 877
Maybe it's the shoulder pads we're using...

ELDER06 248
We just don't have enough horses to cover the cracks. He's only out for Spring ball. Even so, how much was he really going to play? Some of you guys love making a mountain out of a mole hill. This will not have any impact on ND's season.
hawaiiirish 62
I agree with that sentiment---I mean stuff happens its football---your star QB gets kicked for cheating well that's one thing---but a player gets a shoulder separation , a common and not really a bad injury, that's no reason to feel the football gods are persecuting us,,,,, Shoulder seps a dime a dozen--he will be fine after having a relaxing spring! aloha

It seems to be, hitting has intensified compared to other Springs so far

corysold 0
Maybe it's the shoulder pads we're using... Maybe, but I think it is the jerseys. The UA logo has a double hook effect and can create a lot of torque on the shoulder if it gets struck just right. Never should have gone away from Champion. ND didn't have these problems then.
