Jersey Irish
According to Rotoworld, Michael Floyd plead guilty to one count of extreme DUI Thursday in Scottsdale City Court. The other six counts were dismissed. Floyd will serve a 120-day jail sentence. That includes 24 days in county jail and 96 days of home detention. He'll also have to complete 30 hours of community service and pay a $5,115.99 fine. It's not a worst case scenario for Floyd, but it's pretty close. There was no way he was going to avoid jail time after blowing a .217 when he was arrested in mid-December. This might end his NFL career. ndomer4
End his career? This is peanuts compared to some stuff other guys have got charged with and I've seen many of them back in the league. Plus the Pats knew all of this was coming before they took him so I think this is the least of his worries. He needs to focus, guy has all the talent in the world and should be a number 1 for the Patriots. I'm more concerned with his sudden case of the drops, he can work on catching during his little break.
Rocketsan
No way it "ends his career." Pats saw the video and knew how serious it was...
Irish Chris
No way it "ends his career." Pats saw the video and knew how serious it was... Yea, he'll be fine. I never saw why he didn't play in the super bowl. Can someone please enlighten me.

Yeah I would like to know as well. When I saw they scratched him right before the game it made me hate the pats more than I already did. All that said he made some terrible choices but he is nowhere near done in the NFL imo. He is a stud if he can get his shiit together

Irish_Thunder
When the Patriots signed Floyd it was all about them getting as high as a 4th round compensatory pick if another team takes a shot at him in free agency this off season. In my eyes they only played him while the WR core was really banged up and sat him when they didn't desperately need him. This assured that he avoided injury and gives them a higher chance of the compensation. Belicheck is the master of this sort of move! Now that is speculation on my behalf but it makes sense with the Patriots. I hope he goes home to Minnesota on a short "prove it" deal. The above is the sensible strategic explanation - with which I agree - add to that Brady was more comfortable with Am, Ed, Hogan and Mitchell (i.e. more game experience with all), so when they were more ready than when MF was signed, they suited up (and all performed well) leaving no room on the bus for Mike. I think that another team or teams will offer and he will move, on, but for him, that would be a shame. There is a future for him in NE, and tough love BB (whatever else you want to say about him) would give him the 'life' guidance that MF needs. Soko
The Patriots can thank Atlanta for stinking the joint up and shrink king their ball sack to the size of peanut for the SB. Floyd would have made a big difference as their receivers couldn't deal with man coverage all day. Assuming he serves the time right now he'll be back for camp and will get a 2-4 game suspension. No problem. It's best for him to sign a 1 year show me contract and then try to catch on somewhere else for a longer deal.

IrishCrazy
Slinking back here, hat n hand- hate to blame it on the drink and thought was not that bad, certainly impaired enough miss the won/one thing-thx TD...'nuff said. And since I'm in this sheepish head space, yes Steelers more SB's (for now and therefore GOAT) but was GOATing Brady, not Pats which all goes back to the same reason that won and one are evidently interchangeable (they are not) was just being little braggadocious fueled by.... Any any rate, recruiting is off to a good start, he says changing the subject!! And Pats still one with all your "extra" hatred!! You mad bro? JTennant
And Pats still one with all your "extra" hatred!! You mad bro? Bahahahaha...Pats are GOAT Put the PATS in the NFC and, naw bro... Maybe not even a SB out of that entire run.. They had their hands full with a .600 Giants squad during their undefeated season. When you get to play the Bills/Jets/and Dolphins twice and only need to worry about the Steelers Ravens and Colts every few years it's a pretty easy ride to the game. .. Brady is the ULTIMATE system QB. Put him on any other team and he is a top 15 QB (Flacco) Sippin on the haterade.
