Not to sound like a pessimist, but until they perform on the field it doesn't matter how he sounds. You don't go from weak minded to strong minded over night, it takes time. Which I don't think BK has. To little to late, BK settled after 2015, then 2016 happened. He has to win at least 9 games and I don't think this team can do. Hope I am wrong but...

So why do you read the recruiting boards? Just wait until the season is over and then you will have all of your questions answered.

People p!ss and moan we make no changes. When we make changes, apparent progressive ones, people still p!ss and moan...

My drill sgt used to say "If you want sympathy look in the dictionary between s**t and syphilis."

Sadly, I have nothing so clever to offer about optimism but <optimism>I am looking forward to suggestions.</optimism>

Sampson is putting out an article this week. Some highlights were players are more excited and feel excited to work out. Also, players from EEs to 5th yrs are seeing gains and changes in definition and strength. For the seniors and 5th years, I think that highlights a huge problem with the past S&C program as they really should be maintaining for the most part IMO.

The change that needed to happen didn't. There's not a lot of historical evidence large staff turnover in year eight leads to prosperity. The new coaches could be great hires, but more likely were too little too late, and were needed a few years back when there was evidence to support significant change in the program.

I would agree with you on that but Notre Dame is different. We still pulled a top 15 recruiting class after going 4-8 which very few schools could do in the country. Teams like Clemson built their way to a national championship with talent like that.

I am going to remain optimistic about the program, BK has been re-energized by this staff and believe it or not we have had several recruits say they really liked him including one of our most recent CB commits. Hell if you look at the video he is even in the weight room and in on drills (you can hear him say bend the knee eyes up), these are all things we have never seen him do before and I hope and pray that he finally has given people control and realizes these people know wtf they are doing and realizes his job is to oversee the operation. If he has done that I believe we have good things to come.

I agree with you in general but when you say a few years back when do you mean exactly? I mean this team did win 10 games and went to a fiesta bowl just 2 years ago. I would've been more then happy to have bvg gone after 2015 but other then that I don't remember clear evidence supporting entire staff turnover.
