Jersey Irish
Rotoworld is reporting that Michigan will hire former San Francisco 49ers' offensive coordinator Michael Johnson, even though all their on-field coaching positions are currently filled. Johnson is currently the head coach at King's Academy, a California high school. But here is the rub:his best player, a prospect Michigan has its eyes on, is his son.Michael Jr. ,considered by some to be the top dual-threat quarterback in his class. He's entering his junior season of high school and will enter college in the fall of 2019.

Paulo1300
i think it is pretty common knowledge in the football landscape that a 10th assistant is going to be approved prior to the next season. also - its not like he isnt qualified.. he used to be harbaughs QB coach at the chargers, then he was an OC at the 49ers and UCLA

Kelly Gruene
Wish we were as proactive... I thought ND hired one of the coaches from IMG(?). Take a look at ND targets in this recruiting class. Several top tier IMG players. I think ND is pretty proactive now.

The Captain 19
Apparently that coach is now going to Oregon as the WR coach. Guess the NCAA decision to add a 10th coach has been delayed until 2018. What does that say for the ND coaching staff?
Jersey Irish
Apparently that coach is now going to Oregon as the WR coach. Guess the NCAA decision to add a 10th coach has been delayed until 2018. What does that say for the ND coaching staff? Yep.Oregon hired the ex-49ers' offensive coordinator as wide receivers coach after he'd been rumored to be heading to Michigan. According to Rotoworld, " Johnson Sr.'s employment status has been a topic of fierce debate over the past week, coming to a head when Paul Finebaum accused Jim Harbaugh of cheating for hiring him. Harbaugh shot back by calling Finebaum 'Pete Finebaum' and an'SEC water carrier.' All the drama stems from the fact that Johnson Sr.’s son, Michael Johnson Jr., is the top-rated dual-threat quarterback in the Class."
