Donjuan 16
That's the word on Twitter. I see he's a former skunkbear with two years of eligibility left, other than that I know nothing about him.
FaithInIrish Forever 5,591
Think he's the graduate Transfer Kelly talked about in the presser. May have 2 years of eligibility left. Reading he did not play in 16 either 6'0 wide receiver, saw 4.43 somewhere. FaithInIrish Forever 5,591
Come to think about it. We knew Al Borges was in South Bend visiting. I bet they talked about Canteen. Now Canteen reminds me of getting Amir Carlisle from USC a few years back. Helps our depth at Slot. Finke and Canteen have a backup spot on the two deep to compete for it would seem. He's about Stepherson's size too so He could get to X receiver as well. One thing I've noticed in Studying Memphis is they spread people out but also used "bunches" Bunches are receivers lined up close to each other. Reason you do that is the DB can't line up directly across from a guy who is behind another receiver! So say we detach a big Tight End and then "hide" a Sanders, Stepherson or Canteen behind that Tight end. If we want to get the ball to the small receiver with a blocker quick we can do that. If we want the Tight End To Go deep and the guy behind to stay short like a check down we do that. Also all the pick routes where A receiver gets in the way of the other guys defender are possible. So I like having all types of receivers, Tall, Average, Shorter and skillsets that differ as well. Gives us some depth and will compete for the 4th or 5th spot I think.
FaithInIrish Forever 5,591
agreed also the type of guy that could take a few kick return reps if Sanders needed a break.
Jersey Irish 207
'Also all the pick routes where A receiver gets in the way of the other guys defender are possible." As long as it is not the same pick play we ran vs Florida St that the hometown refs called that cost us the win. LOL

Its all the same play but our "pick" could have been done without extended arms and then run the route away from the guy you picked. Clemson Guy did a cool acting job where he fell into the Bama player. One of those plays where I wish the refs would go one way or the other, either call them all penalties or let them all go. Othewise its who tricks the refs eyes the best who get away with it.
davislove 0
Is there any chance he switches to defense?
FaithInIrish Forever 5,591
Is there any chance he switches to defense? Always a chance. Wants to play offense, but if he realizes the clocks ticking and the staff wants him to, he may get a look at corner. I assume his first look will be on offense though. ndomer4 532
Did some searching and he did play corner at Michigan in 2015. Having a guy who can play both corner and receiver is a huge bonus! Gives us great depth, I kinda wish we took more graduate transfers. Wonder where the staff wants him.
ckp160 10
Off topic kinda, but how cool would it be to experience playing at Michigan and then Notre Dame?!?! Two great programs with tons of history! Talk about an experience!!
goirish83 0
I think its a solid pickup, our receiving depth although strong is young and we also missed on the recruiting trail a bit this year only bringing in
