Early Enrollees

I'm probably off base a little but I thought the EE's were considered part of the previous recruiting class. So it might be a way to add more players for that cycle.

EEs do allow flexibility for class size however it's rarely used. I think Ole Miss did it recently when they had a super small class followed by a class of like 30 recruits. You're only allowed 85 scholarships so it only really provides scholarship help to schools w unbalanced classes.

EEs can be part of the current class or the previous one if the previous one had less than 25 signees. I assume that most schools will count EEs towards the previous class if possible to give themselves flexibility going forward.

Of course, the 85 team roster limit for scholarships must also be taken into account when determining the number of signees a class can have.
