LasVegasIrish
Well this is interesting. Looks like the staff essentially said we don't think your fully on board so go away. Bold strategy, but I applaud the staff for figuring out who's fully committed in their mind. I have faith in Elko to find some DBs and develop them and the ones we have. Easy to do that when you've got the young depth they do in the Secondary.
LasVegasIrish
It is easy to be mad about this. ND now has 0 CB commits in this class. With that said, we always get upset when a kid transfers because of grades or other reasons. Trim the fat before that happens.
ColinKSU
I hate every possible thing you can hate about the entire 2016 Notre Dame season. It won't f****** end.
PJacksonsDred15
Are you people on crazy pills? We kick a 4 star CB to the curb because hes not 100 committed when our head coaches agent is doing anything to get him a new head coaching job and half the staff has left the program? Just. Just. wow.
Pregame
Bogus move. Maybe he leaves, maybe he stays and becomes an all american. Glad we'll never find out though!

Just. wow. He already planned to enroll early at Cal, without a HC being named, so clearly not a case of us kicking a kid to the curb but rather freeing up valuable time and resources to focus on other kids with genuine interest. Totally agree, there may have been a few years in the Willingham era where we saw the product on the field and horrible recruiting classes to follow, but this has been so much more. ny
If you look at Mich 2014 and Bama 2005 you'll see that were going through the exact same thing. BK made the moves that were needed. Maybe he did them 1-3 years to late but he did them. Just get through this signing day and the magic number is 20. Pick up a handle full of developmental players and ND will be good. And go hard this year. ND is not as far away as people think. The coaches are in place, now it is up to the coaches to coach.

New coaches are a nice start, but nothing is going to materialize until we get rid of BK. He can underachieve with above average recruiting classes, so barely cracking the top 25 in terms of class ranking is going to hurt. A lot. LasVegasIrish
Looks like it could have something to do with not being eligible to EE to ND. Had some work to do in school before coming to ND. Not with grades, but classes I think.
dangeruss
at one point this DB class looked to be a really good one and when combined with last years DB class, ND was going to be building some great depth. now ND is back to ground zero because no player wants to board a sinking ship, and why would they. ND was expected to build off their 2015 season and make a run at a playoff spot and that success was going to help ND bring in a great 2017 class. ND was going to build depth while bringing in great talent, now ND is going to do neither and BK is the reason.
davislove
The problem with hiring new coaches is it disrupts recruiting. Hopefully the coaching is worth the sacrafice.

New assistant coaches shake up recruiting. Retaining a dead coach walking is a death sentence. No parent in their right mind is sending their kid to play for a guy who should've been fired this year. No parent in their right mind is sending their kid to play for a guy who should've been fired this year. Right, because parents in their "right mind" only think about football, and not the education their kid will receive. Some parents actually care more about the education, and less about the football team. In the end, the kid usually wins out anyway, but to say no parent in their right mind would send their kid to ND to play for Kelly isn't accurate. ELDER06
ND doesn't have a choice... Somethings gotta be done....... Can't have your cake and eat it too. Scott Booker did a ton of recruiting, but keeping him on staff wasn't an option given how bad STs performed. It's a similar quandary with Hiestand.
