FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
was on ESPN. Brock Wright had a nice catch in the seam. Also just caught another on a scramble drill. Good looking College ready tight end!!! #87 White Jersey. Avery Davis had an up and down day but was part of a 79 TD pass (he threw a nice speed out guy name Jeff Thomas broke it with a long run. FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Avery Davis is a good runner as advertised. Nice catchable deep ball for #3 in Gray.
FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Saiid(Paulson) Adebo #11 in gray caught a pass and nearly missed another one on a 4th down ealier from Davis #3 Wonder if Adebo will play WR if he comes and with the movement in ND's class (Pouncey Decommit) Edited January 1, 2017 by FaithInIrishForever
FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Avery Davis threw 2 nice speed outs one was broken for a 79 yard TD Jeff Thomas. Good lookin slot receiver, not seemingly an ND qualifier. Edited January 1, 2017 by FaithInIrishForever
FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Adebo called by Lugenbill, Most consistent wide receiver and a jet after he catches a 17 yard pass, maybe worth a look at WR? FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Wright caught a 2 point conversion, really good to a tight end like that coming to ND! Edited January 1, 2017 by FaithInIrishForever

They might of had to many DB's and not enough wide outs in the all star game. Luginbill acted like he was a receiver, but he's a national guy so who knows. Think Folston played DB at one of those game years ago to see the field too. Not uncommon.

He's my favorite recruit in the class from a pure athlete standpoint. Played both WR and secondary in HS. I know the Irish staff want him and see him at corner, but we know how fast that can change. FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Liked Brock Wright a lot. I think he can compete to be on the field next year if needed.
davislove 0
Liked Brock Wright a lot. I think he can compete to be on the field next year if needed. It'll be tricky with the number of tight ends we have on the roster. Brocks listed size is legit. And that's not the case most of the time. I wonder if Luatua can jump to defense. We need some Linebackers with bulk. or will his concussions end his career?

I'd be tempted to try Tyler as a rush end, But no offense to Tyler, But I can't see him stopping Wright. That said, with Jones, Smythe and Weishar, I can see your point. But he's probably too good to not play. I'd like 3 years instead a redshirt 2 years and the NFL.

And Smythe may fall into the hegarty category. He's a good player but the younger guys can't be held back.

Yeah the tight ends were better against Army and I believe USC, but otherwise it was a tough year. If Jones is eligible he has been successful but I would think that position would be an open competition moving forward, except for an eligible Jones. Brock Wright certainly looked the part in the UA game. He's a big dude. Definitely college ready in that aspect.

Everyone forgetting that Kmet isn't that far behind Wright in terms of talent. I'm thinking Gronk/Aaron Hernendez (pre murderer).

Edit: just to clarify, i'm not saying anyone is or will be as good as gronk, im just saying i hope we start to run a lot more duel TE packages like NE did with those two. jfschellcrna 11
How many times did Kelly target a tight end this year?
golson5 221
I like Kmet as a prospect better. Not the blocker but as a pass catcher I think he's more athletic
