FaithInIrish Forever 5,570
Yep. attributed to Pete Thamel at Sports Illustrated, same guy who had Elko and Polian

SOURCE: Notre Dame offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock expected to be the next offensive coordinator at Cincinnati.
— Pete Thamel (@SIPeteThamel) December 28, 2016
Edited December 28, 2016 by FaithInIrishForever
Baldy 1,723
I go to the update too. It sucks because I have always liked Denbrock.
jumpman5678 1
This is a huge hit to recruiting. Pouncey already liked a tweet by Andrew Ivins that this could help Miami with Pouncey.
jfschellcrna 11
Denbrock could see the writing on the wall.. I think Jeff Quinn will move into a more instrumental role as a play caller.. Denbrock is a stand up guy and a good recruiter, but his play calling is weak....

And since he was the play caller last year I'm ok with him moving out, I think it'll end up being the kelly and Quinn show again now. ny 0
You know the funny thing, all bk had to do was fire bvg last year and go after aranda hard and all this crap would not have happened. Would not be surprised if urban told fickell to go after dembrock. It is the smart move, make ND weaker then it already is. one less team to worry about in recruiting. Polian will recruit the west coast.. He'll be fine. As far as Meyer telling Fickell to go after Denbrock, I'm not so sure. I don't think there is a ton of love lost between those two.. That instead of focusing on his upcoming game, he's plotting to weaken a 4-8 team even more.

Not saying he gives a damn about ND. but he knows a down ND is better for him. I mean look at Mich two years ago, they were horrible new coach and now they are recruiting like mad men. IF kelly can fix this which i doubt, but if he can ND will be as big of an issue as mich. Edited December 28, 2016 by ny

Can't say that I blame him.

He gave us Charlie and now BK. He's done quite the damage already.

LOL, how do you make this incredulous leap of ridiculous logic? Meyer is not the lover scorned some of you make him out to be.

They could have had Urban, but they would not give him what he wanted.
