Coach Gilmore NOT Gone

This is a tricky one. He is kind and even keeled and everyone loves him. But he may not be my ideal image of an ornery DL coach but that's me and wouldn't take anything away from all his other traits but want to see an attitude problem on defense. Guess Tillery headed that way ; ) but want to see some fire but Gilmore not brought that ought yet. To be honest, I am inclined to give all capable coaches a shot now that out from under BVG. Short leash but a shot.

This offseason has been an absolute f**king joke in regards to media's reports about coaching changes.

Journalism is dead. They just race to the presses with the dumbest **** they can think of.

Blame Al Gore. He invented the Internet. LOL!

Seriously, you are right. The Internet has killed journalism.

You can post anything at all about anyone and never have to correct falsehoods. Very sad!

Denzel Washington talked about this. He said, "It's not about who's right anymore. It's about who's first." It's sad where journalism is today.

This is exactly right. I work in the media, and they are deathly afraid of not being the first to report breaking news....afraid of competitors beating them to the punch. Obviously, fact-checking often takes a back seat till later.

I've been in newspapers my whole career (and we are doing fine, by the way), and what you said is correct. All the internet sites want to do is to be the first so they are listed by everybody else as the source first reporting and, to heck with the facts. They don't have to retract a word of it!

You nailed it. No damned research, no substance. My wife pointed me to this vid earlier this week:
