LasVegasIrish
Booker was fired today by Kelly. Probably a good decision overall. Would be interested to see if follows Sanford as Booker was once a WKU coach as well.
TheRizz
I wonder if Elko keeps Elston Or If Kelly moves him to TE/ST/Recruiting
LasVegasIrish
I wonder if Elko keeps Elston Or If Kelly moves him to TE/ST/Recruiting Kelly mentioned that Elko would be able to decide the DC staff, but I would guess at the very least that Kelly wants to keep Elston and Lyght. Will be interesting. If he is trying to save his job, he might just cut ties with guys and trust in his DC, because was Kelly has done on the defensive side of the ball has not really worked. NDMJ1984
Too bad, guy was a strong recruiter, but I agree with the move, TE and ST play has been horrendous.

irishrb
Like Hawaii said, the issue here is still BK. He has never emphasized ST. Let's hope he realizes that they actually are a part of the game.
LasVegasIrish
Where did Kelly mention Elko and where did he mention his DC will be able to decide the staff? Meant to say DC, I was just assuming Elko in this instance. He mentioned last week I believe when talking about the DC hiring process. ELDER06
Had to be done. I can't say I revel in a good man losing his job, but STs were friggin awful. Kicking to Adore Jackson multiple times in the SC game was the nail in the coffin

He has a lot of great qualities, a couple of years in another environment will turn him around, look at Kiffin. Give him a couple years and he will be ready to take a big time coordinator job.
