SpecialFNK 0
he was found sleeping in his car. so how can that be DUI when he wasn't actually driving. the car was running, but could he have a defense that he got in the car and started it without going anywhere? that is what happened in an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond. Hasn't happened to me, but when I lived in LA, we were always told to put your keys in the trunk as you sleep it off. Unfortunately, even if the keys weren't in the ignition and were just in your possession, that is still grounds for a DUI

Yep, unless your mother-in-law is Marie Barone, and the guy at the hearing feels sorry for your family situation, you're screwed.

I don't disagree with anyone saying this was an awful decision That will probably cost him millions, but the caddy he was in during his ND Dui was over 20 years old, and people can with the fact that he was in some sort of brand new escalade, which definitely wasn't the case. This time the car was probably pretty nice though lol.
echo88 74
Meh money means better lawyers. Most people know that if you plan on passing out in a car that you have to separate the keys. Otherwise they can claim you had intent to drive...
