ndomer4 532
4 seasons he has wins of 11,13,9 and 4. Also has a pac 12 title and a national title appearance. That resume is much better than Kelly's and he is gone. We better act quick as they are rumoured to be interested in Fleck. One admin is committed to winning and one seemingly could care less. The problem is I believe the administration doesn't care about winning. If they don't fire him tomorrow, we are stuck with that sack of crap. I can't imagine I will tune in to more than a few halves of ND football next year.

I agree to an extent. However, I think Oregon recognizes he's a Larry Coker type who padded his W/L record with his successor's recruits. cali_domer 298
Jack is more likely to give BK an extension than fire him at this point. Jack is all in on his boy. Good move Oregon.

If this is the case, the BOT should make very clear to Swarbrick that anything less then 9 wins means that both him and Kelly are gone. Hopefully we can hire an AD that has actually played sports in his life. If you look at Alabama's AD, the guy was a former Alabama football player who went on to become a head coach at Tennessee, you think that this guy would accept the mediocrity of a Brian Kelly like JS does. The announcement today will be Kelly is shaking up the staff and we're going all the way next year. ND has given up. I'm done till he is gone. Strength and conditioning is a joke according to everyone around the program. Players hire their own personal trainers because they know the S&C program doesn't work. You can literally see linemen get skinnier and week to week. If Swarbrick doesn't force Kelly's hand to make changes in these two areas, Swarbrick needs to go too. I am already leaning towards him being part of the problem anyway, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt until we see how this shakes out. My gut on him though is that he is Kelly's yes man and the two are married for better or worse.

I remember people saying that was a huge reason why we only had one loss in November from 2010 - 2012

He's going to have to force Kelly's hand on Longo if he wants him fired, because he's the last person on Earth that BK would ever fire. I respect that he values loyalty and friendship, but he's in the wrong line of work if he puts that ahead of doing your job.

I know it was a big problem under Weis so I thought it couldn't get much worse.
