LasVegasIrish 0
Anyone want to see kizer go to NFL to get wimbush in the rotation? Not particularly no. Although I'm super excited for his time. Kizer for one more season would be awesome. Only gonna get even better IMO. More experienced receivers, RBs more experienced, a better team overall almost guaranteed. Give me Kizer for one more season and I'm very happy! echo88 74
Our QBs only do well when they first enter the system. They have raw latent and they havent been poisoned by BK. Then after a few years in the genius scheme under his renowned tutelage, they regress. Im all for QBs seeing the field sooner rather than later with this idiot at the helm. With that being said, Kizer really could be a beast next year.....Not gonna happen though because he's as good as gone.
davislove 0
I think Kizer is gone. He has a lot of hype right now and he needs to take advantage of it. Kelly has his instant excuse if wimbush starts next year.
goirish83 0
Unless Kizer finishes the year with 2 stanford like games I don't see how he doesn't get a first round grade. And if he gets a first round grade I don't see how he doesn't leave
Officer Tim McCarthy 5
Even if he has two sub-par games, I think scouts will discount any negative impact, chalking it up to BK and an overall lousy ND squad. His measurables and ceiling are as high as anyone not named Deshaun.

Kelly has his instant excuse if wimbush starts next year. Agree. He has to go. Way too many cautionary tales of guys who didn't jump and saw there stock plummet by returning. Logan Thomas comes to mind-another big athletic guy that had accuracy issues that everyone assumed would get better with another year in school. He stayed at Va Tech and was the exact same guy-went from #1 ranked QB and surefire first rounder to 4th rounder. Even Deshaun Watson has lost his hype from last year as a lot of mocks have Kizer ranked over him now. Maybe Kizer loves school, but he seems like he doesn't enjoy taking the CBK sideline treatment much anymore.

ndomer4 532
This qb class is terrible! He would be stupid to stay as I don't think Watson is anywhere near an NFL qb and Trubisky is his main competition. I don't think Kizer is ready myself, he is too inaccurate on easy throws too often. Also has problems staring down and holding onto the ball too long. We know coaches fall in love with arm strength, watching his tape plus him throwing at the combine/pro day will WOW everyone. He's got the smarts too, he should go. I think Wimbush has more potential in college with his running so I am excited to see him get a shot. Kelly Gruene 26
I think Kizer goes too. Zaire? Can't see him sticking around. I'm looking forward to Wimbush. My only concern is who backs him up...Book? Davis (assuming he indeed enrolls at ND)?
Frankus 210
If Keizer is drafted , he'll be the only ND QB to be drafted over. Seven year span . I wonder when the last time that happened ?
ckp160 10
Will Deshone have his degree? If so, no way he should come back..... 1 caveat is if it looks like he might go to Cleveland, he may want to stick around. That place is as black of a hole as my ex wife's...... heart. CanadianIrish 0
I agree that Kizer is as good as gone. But why would Zaire leave? What is he going on to? There is no way he's more than an undrafted free agent in the NFL. Why not come back to ND and compete with Wimbush for the starter's spot? Frankus 210
Kizer is gone. If Kelly stays, I think it's a possibility that next year could be just as bad as this. Unless Wimbush is outstanding, both the defense and offense could be worse.

jmfinsd 17
3. Redshirt this year I think 2. I think the question was if wimbush sits next year if Kizer returns and starts, how many years would wimbush have left. He burned last year , red shorted this year, and then would burn next year if kizer stays and starts. That'll leave 2, but maybe i misunderstood. There is no way he's more than an undrafted free agent in the NFL. Why not come back to ND and compete with Wimbush for the starter's spot? I bet LSU would love to have him. He would be able to compete for a starting spot at a lot of SEC schools.

He will be a redshirt sophomore next year. So yes if he sits next year he will have 2 years left.
