Then worked the clock, had severe fumble drama and won the game with a FG!!

Yep, Exactly. Now all 3 facets need to come together. SPECIAL TEAMS NEEDS OF BE PRACTICED WEEKLY. But it really was nice of see the guys win...... now, if the Lions can continue.......

Hopefully this can be a springboard to better times. The first step of any young team is to learn how to win close games, this team took a long time to figure that out but hopefully now they have.

 

Next up is navy and army and navy all of the sudden looks more beatable after their showing against usf this week. If those 2 games go nd's way maybe they can get on a roll and finish the season strong for once.

 

Then again they could lose to navy next week and pretty much erase the good vibes of this win but for tonight I'm going to enjoy the win.

Perhaps send Booker to uncle nico-land? When have ST not cost us since he has been in charge? You teach BEFORE the mistake, don't wait until after one has occurred - watching a kick off while the Miami player jumped on it? That ND player was a HS star last year and probably never played in that role - that is on Booker - he has them at least in the class room for parts of the week. Ditto Pride & Boykin getting brushed by a punt. It is an iceberg Captain Titanic - plan around it! That said, very happy for the players.

Agree wow our special teams have made some horrifying mistakes seemingly every game this season and multiple again yesterday that almost cost us another one.

 

If kelly stays he will need to make some big time staff changes and I don't know how you don't start with booker

Still a lot of work to be done but we got a win. We did some good things like starting fast and not being so predictable on offense. Also showed some heart by not folding at the end.

 

Lets make this an 8 win season.

The 1:10 mark was fantastic. He puts a great move on the defender and the guy just gets turned around and finally falls over. Good stuff.
