I was just cruising around Scout, and two things surprised me....

When the hell did Aaron Corp (USC QB commit) become a 5*????

Why didn't ND recruit Jeremy Finch from Indianapolis (5* Safety)

Featured Replies

Rivals has him ranked 85th. I wouldnt look too much into scouts ranking!

yea hes not that good

and coming from WC i doubt he could have got in

They have to raise the USC QB's rating because he is going to be the QB at USC. It is just like how 2-3 ND recruits will lose a star in the end.

Correct: Rivals, Scout Lemming and of corse Mike Frank are in the business of selling you pre used automobiles.. (Cough!)) I mean crummy used cars. It's them, they and you gullible readers :D Be it as it may a star weill rise if it sells another subscription and fall just as fast if it does not. It's the cynical Biz baby and that's the way they operate

Why didn't ND recruit Jeremy Finch from Indianapolis (5* Safety)

He plays for Warren Central and is the real frickin deal!!!!

please dont tell me you guys really buy into the idea that there is any talent in indiana this year, this is the last im saying about this i had this fight over on irishenvy

Indiana has no high school talent, look at the ratings for each state, look at the level of kids the WC kids play against, there is nothing in this state

all you have to do is pull up rivals and look at the top rankings for each state

its embarrassing how few good kids there are in this state, and the few good ones are made to look great because they play against a bunch of kids who won't even play DII

thats all i have to say about pathetic IN football

Now come on go out and watch some of the top class 5A teams and you will see D-1 talent!

1 Jerimy Finch 3 Stars Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central DB 6-1/203 Michigan

2 Artis Chambers 3 Stars Ft. Wayne (IN) Snider DB 6-2/185 Michigan

3 Ryan Kerrigan 3 Stars Muncie (IN) Central DE 6-4/233 Purdue

4 Joe Holland 3 Stars Indianapolis (IN) Bishop Chatard ATH 6-2/195

5 Darren Evans 3 Stars Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central RB 6-0/207 Virginia Tech

6 Max Dedmond 3 Stars Evansville (IN) Central TE 6-5/235 Indiana

7 Adrien Robinson 3 Stars Indianapolis (IN) Warren Central WR 6-5/222

8 Drew Kiel 2 Stars Columbus (IN) East QB 6-2/193

9 Matt Ernest 2 Stars Crown Point (IN) Crown Point WR 6-3/170 Indiana

10 Javon Reese 2 Stars Ft. Wayne (IN) South LB 6-2/201

that is the top 10 kids in IN 7 3 stars and 3 two stars, none from ben davis, in fact ben davis nobody in the top 15... 7 3 stars is the best this state has, do you realize how horrible that is? Do i need to post other states to show you how much better the kids are?

Texas has 34 kids that are 4 star and above 100 kids atleast 3 star and above

California has 29 kids that are 4 star and above 100 kids atleast 3 star and above

Florida has 37 kids that are 4 star and above 100 kids atleat 3 star and above

Ohio has 11 kids that are 4 star and above and 38 kids 3 star and above

New Jersy 6 kids that are 4 star and above and 26 kids 3 star and above

Alabama 10 kids that are 4 star and above and 25 kids atleat that are 3 star and above

Michigan 12 kids that are 4 star and above and 23 kids that are 3 star and above

Tennesse 8 kids that are 4 star and above and 17 kids that are 3 star and above

North Carolina 10 kids that are 4 star and above and atleast 30 kids 3 star and above

Delaware has 1 4 star kid and 2 3 stars (looks closer to Indiana)

Idaho has 2 3 stars (Indiana beats idaho)

Iowa 1 4 star and 6 3 stars (pretty similar to Indiana)

Colorado 1 5 star, 1 4 star and 7 3 stars (beats IN barely)

do you see my point or do i need to give you more?

IN is not on par with Texas, California, Florida, Ohio, Tennesse, New Jersey, Alabama, North carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Georgia, Pennslyvania, Maryland, New York, Virgina, etc.

IN is close to states like Iowa, Kentucky, Delaware, Nevada and Colorado (if you stretch it)

IN may beat a few Hawaii, Alaska, Idaho

IN has very little talent at all, this all comes from rivals, its free you can look for yourself, the 7 3 stars and the rest two stars and below, Ben Davis has nothing, and WC has 3 3 stars seems pretty good in a state filled with 1 and 2 star kids

big schools in other states have multiples of 5,4,and 3 star kids, along with lesser kids of course, but 1 five star can dominate a game, hell a 4 star can dominate a game, and you have been on here bragging all week about your great WC team and how they are the nations best when they have 3 3 star kids and they beat a team with no one in Indiana's top 15 prospects

Face it like I have said all along IN has no in-state talent, when all you can put up is 7 3-star kids you have to wonder, especially when so many other states are have 100 kids as good as or better than those 7, i think ill go with the other states

Maybe you're right TD! Maybe Indiana is the bottom of the proverbial talent pool. Now let's just hope that Aldridge and Schmidt can play at the D1 level. Warren Central's team has kicked the shit out of everyone for the past 3 years and are currently ranked 8th by USA Today. Last year Aldridge's team got dropped by Hamilon Southeastern. HSE got steamrolled the following week by Warren Central and Spann ran for 100+ yards. Maybe we can legislate a program to keep our top talented ex athletes in state. That way we can start an athletic breeding program to create a 5 star utopia. Then and If they can get a high enough ACT or SAT score then maybe, just maybe one of our Hoosier bred players could be "good enough" to don the Gold flecked helmets on Saturday. Matt Mauck QB, a hoosier, started for LSU and played for the title. Rex Grossman QB, a hoosier, started for the gators and is now starting for da Bears. Jeff GeorgeQB, a hoosier, okay well forget this one. I think a lot of Indy guys are getting frustrated because they know we have talent right here and yet it gets passed over by Notre Dame and then everyone else. Warren Central could take its team in its current form and probably displace 40% of IU's team right now. You may scoff but then again the Big Ten has some pretty good teams.

I can't believe your sayin indiana has no talent...

Every time i drive across either Kennedy or Shermin Minton bridge across from Ohio River from Kentucky to New albany Indiana the talent jumps. ahahahahaha

Don't forget Jasper IN grad Jay Cutler future starting QB for the Denver Broncos

Keep the knowledge flowing Chiro!!!

As to when Corp became a five star check the post I made a few months back... I meant to just copy it here but messed up.

DO NOT BASH INDIANA FOOTBALL. I TAKE THAT PERSONAL...

Nobody wants to bash anyone. I appreciate people like TD who do not candy coat the truth. Just because there are not any great prospects this year does not mean there isn't good football in Indiana, just that the athletes are not exceptional.
