Good find. I'd say its an awesome sign. Instead of seeing the Cocks play Auburn and spend the entire weekend on campus, he's now going to see SC play Florida Atlantic.

I also just read that the Gamecocks starting QB got arrested for getting into a bar fight. That combined with the beat down that Georgia layed on them doesn't bode well for the program.

Seen over on II a poster claims that Gray is Irish, supposedly has a source with SC recruiting and that SC is over with.

 

I think several of us on here think that he is already Irish-still good news though

He's 2 inches shorter and 5-10 pounds lighter. Rivals rates Gray a 5 star CB while the other two were rated 4 stars. Gray's the #3 ranked CB as was Walls. McNeil was #7. All 3 got high marks for CB skills, hips, footwork, etc.

 

I suspect the biggest difference is his size at this point and his vertical jump which is only listed at 27 inches. That strikes me more like a LB number than a DB's leap. Walls or McNeil by comparison had a 34 inch vertical.

Yea but when it comes to coverage, alot of those numbers dont count. As long as you can cover a receiver, and put yourself in a position to make a play, then the rankings will come. I dont kno if it has to do with the talent of the receivers that he has covered or what, but he's a 5 star !!!

walls is playing more than mcneil because he can cover better even though mcneil is more physical

 

i think gray has even better pure cover skills than walls, he just mirrors guys

 

watch out are secondary is going to be very very good in the future

ND can have the best secondary in the country but if ND can't recruite the top DL to put pressure on the QB it won't really matter who's in the secondary.

and with the D- lineman and LB's will be bringin in, I think it'll be kinda hard to run also, basically movin the ball and puttin it in the end zone will be difficult for our opponents.
