Mike Sanford, from BSU, to be new offensive coordinator for ND. He's an excellent QB coach as well according to Tom Loy so we'll see if he coaches that position as well. Huge upgrade for ND according to most.

He recently turned down Urban Meyer for the OSU offensive coordinator job. Young, energetic, great West Coast recruiter, and with ND ties as his dad coached under Davie. Also is considered one of the best up & comers when it comes to offensive playcalling.

Is this a co-offensive coordinator, or is Denbrock getting a demotion? Or he is not OC at all and just replacing Alford as RB coach?

I think I just need to see an official announcement from ND.

Speculation about Jeff Quinn.

Speculation about Mike Sanford.

Wonder what any of it means for Denbrock?

Very interesting developments, but a confusing picture for sure right now.

Lots of upside, though.

Yeah, I'm kind of lost with all this??

I say take 'em all.....

The "Next Man In" philosophy moves from players to coaches.

Finally, someone able to realize that here at ND we need depth at the coaching position too.

Denbrock pass up a head coaching job a gets demoted?

I gotta believe there is more to come from this story.

Anyone else read that coach elliot is retiring and possibly taking an Adm. Position?

If true, I love this hire. It seems like a perfect match for ND's offense. Throw that in with his west coast recruiting connections and this should work out quite well.

Well, it wasn't really a rumor, just a theoretical that one non-ND based writer threw out as a way to shuffle the staff. It could happen, but it's not in the rumor mill right now. Just a theory.

year 5 and I'm still waiting for a special teams coach..............

It continues to baffle many of us.

Maybe Quinn to coach TEs & special teams??

Or maybe Quinn will be the new running backs' coach. I know Autry Denson's name has been thrown around for that position, but an old offensive-line coach/offensive coordinator would have an interesting take on the RB job. Also, some talk that Quinn could take Duke Preston's job as Director of Player Development for a few years. Anyway, nice to hire someone like Sanford who turned down Meyer.
