Tip-off at noon. It's playing on the ACC network channel which I don't get so I'll be counting on ESPN3/WatchESPN in order to view it.

Obviously, like Brey said post Duke, ND has every reason to NOT play well today. But a truly special team will pull it together. I believe (as many of you do as well) we have a truly special team. Go Irish!

I'm with you DJ. Something about this team make me feel like they won't look past a game like this. I'll have it a little closer though.

ND 71 Pitt 63

Another pathetic start, especially against a crappy team. At this point not sure why I watch the first half anymore. Then again this Pitt team is shooting lights out somehow.

Pathetic calls by the refs. At least 3.

Well Pitt played out of their minds today, and ND still had a chance at the end. No shame in the loss. Agree with Okie, some pretty questionable calls late in the second half though. Refs were a littler homerish.

Calls were fair IMO. Pitt shot lights out somehow, but embarrassing loss for Brey. Last 7/9 game ND has played poorly way to much, lucky to be 20-3. Playing all these close games, starting to catch up with them. Also, like in years past only playing 7 guys not helping.

Also, you can what you want about the fouls. They were 15-15 apiece, and ND did get 18 foul shots. Pat only had 8 points, and didn't score in the second half. Grant has got to be more assertive, like he was at the end of the game.

Pitt shot lights out in this one. Tough game to play after such an emotional, big victory. The last 2 games really. They'll be fine. Connaughton needs more shot opportunities. He didn't get hardly any in the 2nd half. Need to rebound next game, and I think they will.

Well, unfortunately we might have needed that loss to get our heads out of (insert the clouds or butt). All the special talk, POY talk, etc, was getting too much.

Hopefully, we can rebound well and finish off the year strong with our heads focused.

Grant showed at the end of the game he can play in the NBA. 38 minutes before that he was auful. Wish he play like he did in the Duke game.

I definitely think he will be a top pick, I just think all the hype was getting to be too much for him and the team. We play much better with a chip on our shoulder vs being the favorite.

That was anything, but an embarrassing loss. Like you said, Pitt shot lights out and ND still lead on the road with under 30 seconds less. This team isn't lucky to be 20-3. That's a completely unfair statement to make. I understand that you admit that you are negative most of the time about this team, but close games are part of playing in a good conference. More times than not the game is going to be close, especially on the road. Pitt showed what it takes to beat ND. They are good defense team that doesn't shoot well. They shot lights out today, and didn't stop ND. I'll take my chances against most teams like that, because they won't typically out score ND. The only team that has proven they can stop ND fr scoring is Virginia, who is ranked 2nd in the country.

I do wish he would plug in Torres into the rotation a little more for someone like PC. Shooting goes down, but a down low presence will bring something teams havent seen. PC shouldn't be playing the whole game like he is.

All that said, I'd be shocked if this team didn't make it to the Sweet 16.

Well that sucked. Pitt pretty much made everything they threw up, especially from midrange, something ND gives up willingly while defending the front iron and the three ball. I blame this loss completely on my daughter's friend who had to have a birthday party an hour away from me, pulling me away from the action 10 minutes into the game. Roger, if you're reading this, you suck. Onward and forward! ND is still a really good team and should remain in the top ten. Hopefully, they'll get some rest and be able to bounce back stronger.

I didn't get to watch any of this but it was bound to happen. They've had a lot of close calls and they just beat a pretty good Duke team. On the road for a noon start against a Pitt team that is still pretty tough at home.....learn and move on.

Well despite losing today, ND is only a half game back of UVA. I'm very pleased with this and would have gladly accepted this before the season started...

That's one thing I think everyone on this board can 100% agree on. I'm looking forward to seeing them hopefully get an easy W on Wednesday against boston college.

The call on Bonzie that cost us possession was absolutely ridiculous, absolutely no contact whatsoever. Did you see Bonzie's face looking at the ref?? Replay showed the ref had good position to make the call and Bonzie never touched the defender. Totally a homer call and seemed deliberate.

Pitt beat NC by double digits today. ACC is no cake walk for anyone, not just ND. Virginia only be WF by 1 at home!

You beat me to it. And NC St. beat Louisville at Louisville.

They torched Carolina. Shot lights out and were very tough at home. Our loss up there sure doesn't look that bad now.
