January 15, 201510 yr I'm skeptical. Not about ND, necessarily, but about that article. Texas A&M? Oklahoma State? Tennessee? Well, maybe. Notre Dame will be better, surely, but a playoff spot seems like dreamland.

OSU has a new young gunslinger, Mason Rudolph, that appears to be the real deal. Tennessee is a pretty talented team and return a lot of starters with a good class coming in. They were pretty young last season. Not sure what to expect with our beloved Irish although I do like the returning kids coming back. Getting Russell and Ishaq back will help the defense along with my main man Joe Schmidt. Injuries and turnovers hurt the team pretty bad the last half of the year.

The foundation of it all - his recruiting classes - have been very nice, and the few times I saw them play this year, I could see why there should be some excitement by their fans.

January 16, 201510 yr I agree with Tennessee and Oklahoma State. I do not agree with TAMU I think ASU is already on the rise, I think they need to move into the "consistent" phase now. I do not think ND is on the rise because I simply think they underperformed due to injuries and a mental hiccup from the QB position. We will see though.
January 17, 201510 yr No offense... But who is this guy and what has he done? I don't know the guys name but I watched him in the bowl game and he is going to be a stud. 6'4'' and about 220. He can run and has command of the offense. He's a true freshman and they debated bringing him out and it paid huge dividends. OSU certainly on the rise. Lots of returning starters. 320 pound kid they let run the ball and catch passes. Fun team to watch. Beat OU last game of the season before the bowl.
January 19, 201510 yr That is a reassuring read thank yoU! Obie, just a recommendation to save you some time and hassle... You may want to take that signature down. Once a few posters get a sniff of it prepare to be taken through gauntlet.
January 19, 201510 yr No offense... But who is this guy and what has he done?I still think he can be a bigtime contributor for this team. Love his frame and he should be highly motivated, as it's basically his last shot for the NFL. I realize it's not everything but he has the frame to be an excellent pass rusher with long arms and thick legs. Just needs to have the light go off. Having him on next year's team can't hurt. He has contributed some to the program just not what we expected. Next year he should have something to prove.
