Huge game tonight at 6pm on ESPN2. Hoping the Irish can play to their true potential and not have an 'off' night. Going to be interesting to see how ND's offense does against UVA's stack defense. If anything can break it, it's ND's passing and shooting. Just have to connect on the shots.

If I remember correctly, uva pretty much squashed ND twice last year. I fully expect the Irish to come out fired up for this. Combine that with the fact that uva is undefeated and the crowd should really be pumped too.

ND is definitely going to have to connect with some threes to pull this out tonight. Grant's overall game has been phenomenal but his shooting has been a little off lately. Hopefully he finds the net and is the key to pulling off the upset tonight. GO IRISH!

Hopefully I'll be able to watch it live. Working a baseball showcase camp until 3pm Pacific time. Stoked for the game. Agree with what was said above; hoping Grant can find his stroke in this one.

It'd be awesome if they beat UNC in Chapel Hill and UVA in the same week. This team's guard play is strong.

Auguste is TERRIBLE! That's all.

No shame in that loss. Great game throughout. Depth on the front court was exposed though. Put Auguste in foul trouble and they have no one down low. Geben is simply not ready. Not anything any of us didn't know tho.

Overall, they did play a good game. I thought Grant did a great job of demanding a quick double team and dishing out to the open player. There was one point were he had a pretty clear path to the hoop and still dished it out. His all around game has been impressive....but he still needs to find his shot more. Con was great again and was feeling his threes. Beachum was on and I thought he should have come out and looked to shoot a little more.

This is still a great, unselfish team that moves the ball around incredibly well. They just have NO ONE down low. Auguste sucks, Geben is not ready and Torres isn't very good. Auguste really needs to put his big boy pants on and demand his presence down low. Maybe he'll find those pants come tournament time.

You can say what you want about Grant. But if you can't score against the big boys, he won't have a future in the NBA. If I'm not mistaken this 3-4 straight games he hasn't scored much.

I'm not real concerned about his NBA future right now. I do know, right now, he's a heck of a college player. He was playing very unselfishly and created a lot of points for his team today.

I'm sorry but he's not a point guard, he needs to be shooting. Obviously, him being unselfish did nothing did it? ND scored 50 points, which yes Virginia does play good D. Though, ND has now been in 3 straight close games, which Grant hasn't scored.

that is why they almost lost to UNC and that is why they lost today.

Exactly, always will be with Brey teams. Brey is a great guy for the school, but the same thing happens every year.

Guys...let's remember, it's not like we lost to some scrubs. Virginia is one of the best teams in college basketball. They are ranked 3rd for a reason. It was a great game to watch, and if you ask me it proved we can play with the big boys.

I am just trying to enjoy the season for what it's worth but the fact that they seriously have NO ONE down low, is definitely going to bite them in the butt.

 

Either way, this season is so, drastically better than last year. Things are going to change now that they are in conference play but it's still better!

Auguste is more than capable. He is just inconsistent. I'm not surprised when he plays well and I'm not surprised when he plays bad.

Moved up 1 spot to #12. Great win on the road and a not so bad loss at home to the now #2 team. Probably helped that UNC beat Louisville.
