I have no idea if this is true, and I can't really link the source, but I read that Ian Williams commited to Notre Dame. Now keep in mind that the person who said this was a guy with a few posts and it was on a random internet site (not a ND or Florida site) so who knows if it is true. I was just wondering what you guys were hearing. That would be a big get for ND because I know how bad Charlie and Notre Dame want to take him away from Florida. He is a big time DT prospect.

its still the morning after so the news flow is slow, i talked to my guy last night after the game

this may take a day or two to get info on, i wonder if that poster has some connection with ian because thats the only way the news would be out this soon

Rivals has an article up about williams right now

he had a great time and seemed to be very blown away by the whole experience talking about how it was much more than he expected

he said he has to go home and talk to his mom about things, they gave him info on classes and stuff, he told rivals that he would let them know in a couple of days, i believe he was referring to if ND had taken over the lead but to me, when a kid is this overwhelmed and says he wants to go talk to his mom about the trip thats a good sign

i get the feeling that ND will be the leader for williams, or maybe he will verb after speaking with his mom

If he doesn't commit to ND after the visit then I think he will end up at Florida. If he says ND is his leader then I think it is a 50-50 shot. Do you guys think he was one of the silents?

no i think theres a good chance he told charlie i have to talk to my mom first

i really dont think he was a silent before the game, but im telling you that environment yesterday blew him away, and i think the schooling is something his mom wants to see, so after he talks to her IMO there is a very good chance he commits

That is why I think it is important for ND that he commits sometime within the next week and then cancles his visits. He is scheduled to go to the Auburn-LSU game and that environment will be CRAZY and will blow him away. Then I am sure he will make a few trips to Gainesville to see Florida play Alabama and LSU and those environments will blow him away as well. If ND can get a commitment out of him and then get him to stick and cancel his visits, he doesn't get a chance to be blown away. That would be huge for ND.

I sat with a VERY good, close view of the recruits. They had a great time. Barksdale sat in the front row and never appeared to take his eyes off the game. Benn was doing pushups after one of the many TD's.

The atmosphere was definitely electric.

I like that the students are getting involved with the recruits, because there is always that built in argument that they won't fit in because ND is ridiculously white. It is great that they are getting involved with the entire experience...from fan to player!

broke, is section 134 anywhere near the recruits? thats where were sitting for the UM game

Gallup, I had to edit this since I couldn't read 134. You are near the recruits section but much higher and won't really have a view of them. They will be below you to your right. My season tickets are on the opposite endzone. Section 20, row 13. Although, I did not sit there for P State.

I believe the section for the recruits is 30. If it is not 30, than it is 29 or 31. They sit in the front section, in front of the student body.

Here is a link for the seating. If you click on your section it will show a picture from your section.

134 for is in the upper section North West corner Gallup... The recuits are around sections 30-31, so about three to your right and at field level.

oh ok, i think our seats are above the student section so i guess the recruits wouldnt be around there. anyone know where the players parents sit? kinda similar q, but still curious

I am a senior and have seen games in the student section since I was 15 and my sister was at ND, and I have never felt the energy that I felt during the lead-up to kick-off. It was awesome. Also, I was the one that went down and brought up some recruits. If you remember, we were the guys with the pink shirts that sat behind them last year and did it. They really llike it and we are all yelling for them and telling them to come there. What a great game.

Keep that ball rolling Kramer!!!! Good job man!!!!

Great idea Kramer! Glad you took the initiative to "touch base" with the "officials". Many of the comments made by various recruits mentioned the interaction with and energy of the student body. Hope you plan on doing the same for the Michigan game. It sounds as though the campus, coaching staff, players and students and, of course, the "essence of Notre Dame" made this a memorable weekend for these young men. Hopefully it will translate into future commitments!

Kramer how did it rate to the ND/USC game last year.... The energy at that game was awesome. If it was as good or better, we should get alot of those guys.

By the way Charl... I mean Broke.

a VERY good, close view of the recruits.

Of course you did they were on your, I mean the sideline.

I will give my opinion of the comparison: Last year's game with USC was a lot different because I don't think most folks thought we could win it. And with it coming down to the last seconds, it was on fire throughout. The PSU game was also great, but if you didn't think the game was on ice by halftime, you knew it was after Zibby got his TD. So their wasn't as much emotion after that. All that being said, the student section is always on fire, so the recruits probably felt they saw a comparable show. No doubt from our perspective, there were fireworks in both games.

Even after his visit to Notre Dame he still has Florida as his leader per the latest update. Unless he is lying or something happens, he will be a Gator for sure.

That update occurred PRIOR to the ND game.

Really? I didn't know that. It just says "NO CHANGE FOR WILLIAMS".
