Their helmets our cool, but for our tradition, I like our helmets and our gold much better.

The Baylor helmets are shinier, but it's a cheap looking shiny in my opinion.

I would also like our regular helmets toned down a notch or two and made more of a dull finish. I don't mean completely matte like some schools but closer to the actual dome than what we have now...

I actually wouldn't mind something like the green helmets that Oregon is wearing...not so much the color, but the finish...it's like some kind of matte, brushed aluminum finish

 

Just imagine a matte brushed gold effect with the same matte brushed finish for the facemask... I would vote for a brushed aluminum gray facemask but would be open to a gold facemask as well

Franco 100% agree! That matte, dulled, powder coated green is beautiful. That is exactly what ND should do for our Sunday jerseys. Make a 3rd jersey that can be changed every so often, or whenever we get tired of it. Obviously keep the shamrock series as well, and that still gets reinvented every year, and we only use it once. I loved that green and white adidas uniform from 2011 or 2012....and the green, simple shamrock I liked. But Oregon's green uniform would make for an awesome template for ND.

Baylor's are too shiny for me. They remind me of the gold chrome Cragar wheels you would see in the back of car magazines in the 70's.

 

That gold chrome wouldn't be represntative of the dome in my opinion.

 

Someone has a photoshopped helmet in their signature, kind of rustic with "God, country, Notre Dame" in front. I would love to see something like that for a Shamrock Series helmet.
