Will be in South Bend for the Banquet....

This kid is an Elite RB, Alford with the help of someone that that shall remain nameless did a great job of staying on this kid after he decommited from Da U.

He will be visiting with Mom and Dad and education is a top priority.

IMO, it's us of Louisville

If he cares about education, it won't be Louisville. But, Bobby Petrino is a snake, so we'll see how this one shakes out... The nameless character BK or BVG?

Who's better, Joran or Dexter?

Why on earth would any top rated RB come to ND after the last 3 years??

Must be a personal eval cuz this kid is barely a mid-level 4 star at best. Far from elite both in terms of rating and offers.

Doubt he could commit right now unless we got a definitive no from Soso and Ronald Jones.

the only reason to come to ND if your a rb is for the education, ND is not a good destination for RBs.

Army All American

Alabama offer

Ohio State offer

Florida St offer

Florida Offer

U of Miami Offer

Oregon Offer

Georgia Offer

Sc offer

NC offer

Penn st offer

Notre Dame offer

Arkansas offer

Louisville offer

Yea, No legit offer's

I disagree. Rid duck, Hughes, gray are all on Nfl rosters playing. Wood should be but for some reason he's not. So, if you want to get into the NFL with an education, than ND might not be that bad. If you want to go to college and be the featured back, ND is not for you.

Fair enough but We both know that a bunch of those "offers" aren't committable (Bama, fsu, etc). There's a reason he's down to realistic options like Louisville, UNC, WVU. I don't think he's a take for ND right now either.

Mostly I was hoping for some insight on why you're so high on him. He looks like a Carlisle type to me, and could easily end up in the slot.

If he wants to pull the trigger this weekend, would you accept his pledge?

Absolutely, Very high on this kid, tough with a high football IQ.

He could play RB, WR, or Could be used on defense

This is the kind of kid you get on your team no matter what and then plug him were you have a need.

The point about guys on an NFL roster is a good one. ND might not set a RB up to win the Heisman, but they do seem to be setting up a lot of RB's and OL's to make it in the league. What would you want more in 10 years?

good point. ND RBs don't get the wear and tear that backs from lsu and Alabama get over their four year career in college, perhaps that has a lot to do with it.

Exactly right. This is the kind of player you need with multiple position talent that is important to building a championship-caliber team.

Question: Why did he decommit from the U?

I think they have 4 RBs committed at the time, no longer the case.

You missed the point. The original statement was:

"Top Rated" as in high 4*-5* like the OP stated Crnkite was/is. None of the RBs you listed fit thatcategory except maybe Wood but he didn't make it in NFL which further proves point.

A highly rated RB that wants to be drafted in top 3 rounds and be a starter in NFL should not choose ND based on the evidence presented by BK's tenure.

Go elswhere. You will not befeatured in BK's pass-happy/pass-first offense.

Hughes #7 RB

Gray #4 RB

Wood #8 RB

GA 3 #7 ATH

Riddick #10 APB

Roberson #17 RB

Mahone #18 RB

Carlisle #4 APB

Folston #14 RB

Bryant #3 RB

They're pretty much all rated higher than Cronkite, so I don't know how they're not "top rated".

Getting RBs into the first three rounds is getting awfully hard. Just having a guy in the league getting consistent PT is something to be proud of I suppose.

Even the mecca of RBs Alabama has had 2 massive flops (Richardson, Ingram- less so this year but still) and its not like Lacy is lighting the league on fire.

Eddie Lacy is a beast.. If you don't think so you don't watch enough football.. On a team that doesn't feature Aaron Rodgers he would have a lot better stats.. Still will have back to back 1,000 yard seasons.. Just doesn't get the ball enough.. And the packers have blown teams out and played backups.
