Sure would be a nice win to springboard the 2015 campaign.

Big test...

I just want to see more of MZ and Bryant. And Tori Hunter would be nice, haven't seen much of him, but has looked good in limited snaps. Oh, and hopefully they won't get beat by more than 28.

luckily this game is in the middle of the day so not too many people will be watching.

anybody think this will even be close?

If its really cold we'll have a chance.

Or if Ebola hits Death Valley...

if hell freezes over

Ain't gonna be pretty but I'll be there.

Will we see a healthy D line, Joe Schmidt back, Malik playing QB? Maybe ND wins.

I hate to say it, but no. LSU runs the ball and plays tough defense, for all intents and purposes they had Bama beat. I really don't see why ND is bothering with this game, a blowout loss is just another embarrassment. Can't we just put this season to sleep?

That's a physical impossibility. I could see Day and Cage being ready on the dline. Would Redfield be able to play after busting his ribs? It would be a month+ his injury.

Don't watch. What good is it for the team to "put this season to sleep" and forgo 8 additional practices? It's a little selfish, don't you think?

Honestly, I think LSU is next season's national champ. If not, they're going to be damn close. This is the perfect matchup to get some sort of idea where we stand for next year. That being said, I think it's going to be ugly.

Maybe Les Miles will shock the world and be the next "Michigan man" (an oxymoron anyway you slice it.

Against a coachless and rudderless LSU, we gotta chance!

Ugh. ND doesn't need another embarrassing performance, but that's what's headed right down the tracks with this one. Can we beg LSU to let us use a running clock so we can get out of there on our own power?

Well, it won't be in Death Valley but it will probably be a strong LSU crowd. I don't see this ending well regardless, I could easily envision a repeat of the ND/LSU Sugar Bowl under Weis. Matter of fact, I flashed back to that as soon as I saw LSU. Good at times offense, lackluster defense against a team that is good if not great on both sides.

To this day, I believe that Sugar Bowl helped make JaMarcus Russell the #1 overall pick.

I agree ^^^. I prob won't watch. There's no way 8 practices will make a difference. Sometimes when a team is this beat up and lost 4 straight you need to just pack it in...give the kids a much needed break...and move onto next year.

Wont be close. ND will get steamrolled in this game. I have zero confidence in this one. ND matches up very poorly against this team... really, any team with a pulse (don't agree, see Northwestern game).

Love the optimism guys! :tea:

If Kelly starts Golson, he needs to be fired and I will openly start cheering for his dismissal.
