Would love to see OSU jump FSU but it isn't going to happen.

After thinking some more on it I'm changing my Final 4...

1. Alabama

2. Oregon

3. OSU

4. FSU

Bama

Oregon

TCU

FSU

Oregon - Ohio State

FSU - Bama

Then the Big12 throws the hissy fit of all hissy fits and the playoff is immediately expanded to 8 teams...LOL.

1) FSU

2) Alabama

3) Oregon

4) Baylor

FSU

Oregon

Bama

OSU

Using the logic of the committee...Alabama, Oregon, TCU, and drum roll...Ohio State...

Sorry FSU...you just didn't win well enough...LOL...

It looks like your game had to be decided by an onside kick. What a shame. Nice year though...

Sorry, guys. I don't know why I'm getting such a kick out of this.

if undefeated FSU gets left out I'm done following college football

It's not going to happen. The top four will stay the top four. That's the only way this group keeps from looking too stupid. How they ever let FSU drop below number two I'll never know.

remember when ND was ranked #5

now they can't beat Northwestern

I don't envy the committee. FSU, Oregon, and Alabama are locks in my opinion. Who is the last team? For me it's Ohio State or Baylor. Head to head knocks out TCU in my opinion. I really have a tough time picking between the two. I'd have to go with Ohio State as strong and dominating they have been done the stretch. That being said, I hope they don't make it though.

I like your logic. However, how is the committee going to drop TCU from 3 to 5 after their blowout win? Sorry TCU, you should have won 80-3. Then we could have kept you in the top 4. They've dug their own graves. Unless of course the sports media continue to give them a pass on their process.

if the playoffs were 64 teams would Notre Dame get in?

(crying while I sip warm beer)

1. Fla St. Come on, since when don't losses matter? But I hate them.

2. OSU. Hate them even more, but only loss seems like decades ago. After losing their QB. Most sympathetic loss of the year. (Ok, I mean other than Ole Miss/Auburn.) And tonight's game? Yikes! Plus manhandling of MSU.

3. Bama. Strength of schedule, even if you think the rest of the SEC is overrated. So tired of them though.

4. Oregon. Early loss, tougher schedule. Willing to play a serious non-conf game even if it's vs. B1G.

5. Baylor. That's some really sorry defense. They should be ashamed of their non-confs. And the refs cheated TCU out of a game they had won. But still, a W is a W. Can't call it an L. And wow, can they play offense.

6. TCU. I really like this team and this coach. I think they deserve to be in, and I won't cry about anybody getting left out to put them in. But I can't get excited over that non conf vs. Minny, whose only quality win came vs. Nebraska, who had no quality wins.

Honorable Mention: Ole Miss. Aforementioned sympathy loss. Highest quality win of the season (Bama) and maybe second highest (Miss St). Non confs vs. Boise State and a 9-3 Memphis team (champs of the whatever conference). A nail-biter loss in Death Valley after dark. Horrible injuries at the worst of times. And yet, who in their right mind wants to play em now?

I don't know. Would there be a play-in game?

1. no one

2. who cares

3. not me

4. we're not in it

Alabama

Oregon

TCU

That top 3 is a lock.

Ohio State is then a better team than FSU. Will they get the nod? Probably not.

Bama

Oregon

Ohio St

FSU

No Big 12 in the playoff means not answering the "head to head" argument of TCU/Baylor

Remember when we were 7-1 and thinking that if we won out that the committee would certainly put us in? Looking back, we were 7-1, sitting at #10. Looking at how things played out, how would we, even at 11-1 have gotten in? Would wins over L'ville, ASU and USC been enough?

Oh,

Bama

Oreg
