November 30, 201410 yr Looked great. Quick burst. How did he not see the field regularly. Kelly seems to have his favorites and if youre not on his list good luck.
November 30, 201410 yr Looked great. Quick burst. How did he not see the field regularly. He didnt wear his britches properly around the weight room. Mustve started tucking his shirt in and wearing a belt.
November 30, 201410 yr Have you seen Cam McDaniel pass protect? That should trump 5 star FL talent every time...
November 30, 201410 yr Looked great. Quick burst. How did he not see the field regularly. He has fresh legs cause he hasn't played a lick
November 30, 201410 yr This is probably the most frustrating thing about this game to me. He really should have played more and yet another poor coaching decision by BK for choosing to sideline him for the year.
November 30, 201410 yr When you're not interested in running the ball, you need a back who can pass block. Seriously.
November 30, 201410 yr At times he danced around the hole and tried to get too fancy running the ball. Folston got hot and became the go to guy. However, in no way should McDaniel have seen the field ahead of him.
November 30, 201410 yr I agree with everybody saying that pass blocking trumps running in Brian Kelly's mind. Bryant clearly is an elite athlete, but Kelly would rather throw the ball. Like Weis his ego is tied to the passing game. Becoming the OC made it even worse. All he needs to do is gain 100 pounds and he'll morph into Weis.
November 30, 201410 yr All he needs to do is gain 100 pounds and he'll morph into Weis. Eh..... 75 pounds.
November 30, 201410 yr yup he lives and dies with the pass, theres no doubt about that. Everything done on offesne is done to help the passing game. When thats the case pass protection is more important, its sad but true. And with all that being said it continues to baffle me that after 5 years kellys offenses and in particular his QB play have been far from elite when he was brought in as an offensive and in particular a QB guru. Part of the reason i believe kelly has struggled is his inability to adapt. The defense was in rough shape and everyone knew it so why not adapt your offensive game plan and try to make an effort running the ball and control the clock and keep your defense off the field? I think its his ego, he can outscore anybody with his invincible offense and it doesnt matter whats going on on the other side of the ball.
November 30, 201410 yr He didnt wear his britches properly around the weight room. Mustve started tucking his shirt in and wearing a belt. Haha now that's funny. I was listening to the radio and the ND guys were saying that Bryant had been nursing an ankle injury all season. Now how much of this is true is beyond me.
November 30, 201410 yr It's simple... Everyone sees his talent. However, mental and physical mistakes on pass protection have slowed him down. I have no problem with BK holding him to a high standard. I just hope he "why" is being explained.
November 30, 201410 yr I have a problem with burning an entire year because he can't pass block. Not good coaching IMO. You find a way to use the talent.

Toss out 2012 and that is not the norm. We have seen the norm.
November 30, 201410 yr At times he danced around the hole and tried to get too fancy running the ball. Folston got hot and became the go to guy. However, in no way should McDaniel have seen the field ahead of him. I think this was the initial reason why Bryant was benched, he danced too much and was looking for the homerun on every single play. Having said that, I thought he played excellent today. I truly think Folston and Bryant could be a great 1-2 punch.
November 30, 201410 yr Bryant is our guy I said this at the beginning of the season. Big quick back with break away speed. Kelly is alot of the problem. He expects this young freshmen to be perfect. Won't let them make mistakes. It's like he tells them if they don't perform he will lose his job. I can't say I am too happy with BK right now.
November 30, 201410 yr Author I don't care if he misses blocks every now and then. That talent I saw yesterday has to be on the field. Pretty ridiculous him and Folston weren't both on the field the whole season together. Golson pissed his pants yesterday. Held the ball way to long. Bryant gets benched for the season while Golson plays awful half the year but not held accountable for his play. Zaire looked great too for not playing any but couldn't see the field while EG cost us game after game. Mixed messages from Kelly
November 30, 201410 yr Every time I see a 60 second spot with Nolan on und with the quick questions for players every defensive player says Bryant is the hardest player to tackle. I mean all of them, he needs to play.
Looked great. Quick burst. How did he not see the field regularly.
