Watching TCU over the last few years makes me question many things.
I am NOT a Gary Patterson fan. I believe there are details in his personal life that may be questionable.
What cannot be disputed, however, is his ability to coach.
If you look at his recruits, the VAST majority are 3 star calibre, with a few 4 and 2 stars thrown in the mix.
He rarely if ever brings in the great QB recruit. This year's QB played wide receiver much of last year.
TCU is full of what might otherwise be considered a bunch of misfit toys.
Yet somehow he makes it work more often than not.
You might argue the Big 12 conference is weak on a yearly basis.
Yet, if ND were to beat Oklahoma and Texas in the same season we would be screaming from the rooftops how great ND must be.
Gary Patterson makes chicken soup out of chicken excrement almost every year.
TCU graduates 80% of their players.
It just bugs me that TCU has been able to do so much with so little in the last 5, even 10, years, while ND struggles mightily.
And, while ND did play in the championship game 2 years ago, they didn't finish ranked in the top 2. TCU finished ranked number 2 after beating Wisconsin in the Rose bowl just a few years ago.

Why TCU? Why not Notre Dame ?
