Posted November 22, 201410 yr and not in a good way... The guy doesn't know which gaps to plug and just seems to run anywhere into the pile Schmidt was a huge reason we had a Top 5 defense in the first half of the season
November 22, 201410 yr welp, that just proved your point. Dude is lost and dumb. 3rd down roughing the passer in a critical situation... SO STUPID
November 22, 201410 yr I've been really hard on him and I really don't blame him. He's just not ready physically or mentally. He gets pushed around when he's there but that's very seldom. Most of the time he looks lost or out of position.
November 22, 201410 yr Some of you guys are unbelievable. He's a fantastic prospect playing a very difficult position who was forced into duty well before his time. He isn't dumb. He isn't overrated. He's a true freshman.

He's a true freshman. I don't think that's a good excuse. isn't pretty much every team playing at least 1 true freshman in a key position? player should be coached up ready to play.

He's a true freshman. Exactly right. He SHOULDN'T be playing right now though. He's not ready. Martini however, is. That's my own beef. It's a coaching decision that I'm annoyed with.
November 22, 201410 yr I don't think that's a good excuse. Nothing personal but who cares if that's what you think? Point is, not every freshman can step in and play at a high level their first season. It doesn't work that way, not matter how badly we all want it to be.

It doesn't work that way, not matter how badly we all want it to be. I have no idea what Morgan is like to wheather he can mentally be ready. but just because he is a freshman shouldn't be the excuse. it doesn't matter what grade you're in to wheather you could be ready. he could be a sophomore and still not be ready mentally. if he has the talent the coaching needs to do a better job to make sure he is ready to play. IF he isn't ready to play then the coaching should see this and not have in the game regardless wheather they need players.

November 23, 201410 yr We all sh!t a brick of excitement when he signed his LOI...there's a reason for that...
November 23, 201410 yr Author I'm not saying he's overrated...I'm saying he's not near ready, mentally
November 23, 201410 yr I'm not saying he's overrated...I'm saying he's not near ready, mentally We're kinda handcuffed by our choices....
November 23, 201410 yr He will be a stud but it hurts because we see other teams have freshman come in and do a great job or someone come off the baseball field and kick field goals better than our all time leader. it's just damn frustrating.
November 23, 201410 yr Badabing, I love the fact that you are sticking up for your team! Can't stand the venom against on our on this board sometimes. It is to the point of being ridiculous! Either you support the team in good times and bad or you don't. If you don't jump off the ship and swim to some other team's board. But stop spitting out your venom here!
November 23, 201410 yr I don't think that's a good excuse. Yes it is. you guys are freaking ridiculous. I thought this was suppose to be intelligent ND discussion. A true freshmen is a very good excuse. Other than being injured, it is the best excuse one could have. RELAX PEOPLE. Dear god, some of you guys are just fools after a loss.

In hindsight, those were the good old days.
