Watched CFB Daily today and the Florida head coaching came up. The Florida AD said he would be looking for an offensive minded coach and he hoped to have the new coach in place by Christmas.

Several names were mentioned Rich Rod, Mullin, Freeze....and BK's name was mentioned as POSSIBLY coaching the Gators next season.

Meh, wouldn't hurt my feelings one way or the other. At this point any change comes as a relief, to quote Ben Harper.

I was about to post this....

Not a doubt in my mind that BK would win and win big at UF...

He would get the players he really wants with no restrictions.

Keep Muschamp as DC and UF would be turned around quickly

Not gonna happen though

Naw. The Florida gig is overrated. If it's such a great job, how come in the ENTIRE history of their program only two coaches have ever won a conference title?

Because they were always that other school in Florida 3rd behind Miami and Florida State

You've seen what they can do when they have a good coach with the right offensive mind and a good DC...

I've read that he is on the list of coaches UF plans to pursue. I wouldn't be extremely shocked if he left given the academic rigors he has to deal with here and how 1960's the entire atmosphere can be at times.

That said, how can you leave when you look at the roster next year? More likely he sucks it up for one more year and then goes, if he plans to go at all.

This applies to any school....

Florida is a turd that won't flush.

If BK asks for permission to interview, I'd fire him on the spot. Either you're focused on here or you aren't.

He won't ask for permission. It would be done through back channels behind closed doors and then suddenly announced. Florida would simply buy out the contract. Let's hope this doesn't happen as it would be quite embarrassing to have another coach ditch us for Florida and would be quite telling to any potential replacements.

A turd that is constantly getting 4* and 5* players out of Florida.

And great coaches are going to be lining up for this gig.

The same great coaches that wouldn't touch ND

Sorry, it just doesn't bare out that way. Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer were two of the best in the business at that time. And won all three and each of the eight SEC championships in the programs history.

It's a program without any tradition outside two men. It's honestly a second tier SEC school. Look at what Urban and Spurrier have done after leaving Florida... Spurrier had 3 straight 11 win seasons at South Carolina(which is an incredible feat)

In the last 18 years they have won 3 NC's and 8 conference titles (SEC)

They are 60-50 all-time vs UM and FSU

UF is a great Job right now, Muschamp was just a mistake.

It's amazing how much more expectations our fans have for other programs than our own.

3 national titles in the last 18 years? Not good enough! ROFL
