He'll get better. He's only lost 3 damn games and ND's been in 2 of those until the final minutes. It's his second year and he'll make mistakes. Gotta restore some faith in this kid. I don't care if Rocket and I are alone in this endeavor, either. We remember what it was like to lose at home. We remember what it felt like to watch smaller/slower ND players lose against bigger/faster teams. We remember what it was like to be down by 21 points and know the game was over because our QB couldn't score quickly enough, let alone at all. This guy is a winner. He had a very unfortunate game against ASU where a lot of those turnovers were flukey and not necessarily his fault. Two tipped pick 6s? Are you kidding?? Thanks a lot, Obama. lol. Seriously, ever since his commencement... ;) Cripes. (some have made the connection)

We've got faith!

Golson is a winner and a great college qb. I do believe he will get the issue sorted out at some point.

I am in too. I think he is under some heavy pressure this year. Coming back and having something to prove. I think he did too. He is a winner.

I never quit believing. Some of those turnovers were VERY unlucky for EG on Saturday at ASU. I cringe to think where we'd be without him in 2012 and this year. No doubt at all we can make a legitimate title run next year. The schedule and defense will be better also. EG is the man. Just needs to protect the ball better, backs need to block better/more consistently, and Kelly needs to commit to the run better. Recipe for major success.

Go Irish and thank you Everett Golson for everything you have done and will do for Notre Dame football!!

Seriously, especially during the first half.

the Golson in the middle has a face like he just turned the ball over

I'm not so sure that Golson's "deer in headlights" look should be the main feature here....

It's a "why you all turn on me?" face...

ND had 41 passes and 38 rushes....how is that NOT committing to the run when ND was behind and getting blown out for most of the game? Not sure if all those sacks count as passes or rushes...LOL!

Back on topic:

Middle Golson is deer in the headlights. It just is. Why we turn on you he asks? 17 turnovers in six games....maybe...just a hunch.

I was certainly pulling for EG in the second half...I mean...he was the one on the field. He is not going to miraculously change in one or two weeks. He is what he is.

We all know how good he can be, he's one of the best playmakers in college football, has a rocket arm and is pretty darn accurate. I just can't believe he won't turn the ball over until I see it and that hasn't been since what Michigan?

He took care of the ball better in 2012 so I ave no clue why he's regressed her.

That is because whenever ND loses or has a close win, it is because ND is not playing traditional football. What ND should have done is brought in 2 more OL and a fullback, then run it down their throats every play. That would have given them a win... guaranteed!

Go ahead and waste your time reading my posts since the beginning on this young man. He is special, really special! As Don said-- and we all know-- three games lost. He looks like magic alot of the time on the field. This will be fixed.

Faith for sure .

I know - what's next?

the "I gotta go to the sideline and get yelled at by coach" look?

Its the same look. No difference.

Though I do believe Golson has everything needed to take ND to the top, I do admit that I am starting to wonder if he will.

I am old enough that I have seen many uber talented QBs (in college and the pros) that ended up out of sports because they couldn't figure out the mental part of it and/or couldn't stop turning the ball over. If Golson can't get the turn overs figured out, he will end up on the long list of "what could have been".

I am trying to stay optimistic, but its getting difficult.

It's a "why you all turn on me?" face...

I think it's because he lost the Arizona State game single-handedly?
