All of the 247 guys have been putting their picks in for FSU...TFWIW...

With Wimbush committed now and Golson most likely to return if ND were to land one of Pass, Patterson or Henry it would be amazing. It will be interesting to see. I would have said ND all the way for Henry until Wimbush joined the fold, even though Henry says it doesn't matter to him.

same here. would love to land henry but doing so would lead to a log jam at qb.

I find that odd. From everything I have heard from IE and those like Big23head who bring information from premium websites, I think Notre Dame is still the favorite. Henry has visited FSU before I believe, but he was trying to set up another visit, but never seem to get around to it. There is nothing recently that has changed in his recruitment.

Unless I am missing something in the past 10 hours, I think ND lands him.

Lots of FSU smoke in the last couple hours, including Loy on 247 swapping his prediction to the noles. Not looking good

Henry was at FSU for the ND game.

it'll be FSU....he was pissed that ND took wimbush.......good luck to him....

Fine by me. We got our QB this year, and there's so much time to worry about 2016. I actually appreciate him making a decision now.

I hope he realizes the FSU has 3 QB commits in this years class.

I think this is fascinating that Wimbush is the part that has Henry leaning towards FSU...they have three 4* QB's in this class. That must say something about Wimbush's ability level and how Henry feels he stacks up.

What's crazy is that FSU has 3 four star qbs committed this year

None are on Wimbush's level though. He's absolutely tearing it up this year.

this will probably come across like a CYA (or, rather, CHA) move, but it's been covered here before and all seem to agree, even mods at the premium sites, that none of big's information is lifted from premium sources. he may gather info from the big recruiting sites but it's only on their free articles.

Big, feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.

This probably doesn't mean much (because they probably know as much as we do) but, from the FSU site ....

Considering that Henry has not made a return trip to Tallahassee, and he has to Notre Dame, this early decision date cannot be considered a good sign for Florida State's chances. Recruiting can be unpredictable, though, so you never know.

This is a really good site, by the way.

When all is said and done, I see Wimbush getting a 5th *. He has been lights out this year completing passes at a 76% clip and something like 28 TDs to 1 INT. He also has only thrown the ball about 170 times because he hasn't played more than 3 quarters in a game in a while. Kid is a perfect fit for ND's scheme. Reminds me of a bigger, quicker Golson.

I agree that he's phenomenal and easily the best talent we've recruited at the position since Golson. I also totally get the comparisons. I will say, though, that I compared his HS tape to Golson's and still came away thinking Golson was a noticeably advanced passer compared to Wimbush. I'm by no means a pro at breaking down film but Golson's tape was just phenomenal. How he failed to get 5 stars (or recruited by more programs) is beyond me.

Either way, Henry is an epic talent and I completely agree that Wimbush is as well. Henry or no Henry, the staff is on a tear with QB recruiting and, assuming Golson returns next year, the table is set for many years of offensive production.

Obviously it is disappointing that Henry is likely FSU-bound for now. However, there is 15 months lefts in the 2016 cycle. A lot can change very quickly. It is too soon to be concerned.

I don't know why so many are reading the tea leaves in this way, Don't see F$U as a player when all is said and done.

I think the biggest difference between Golson and Wimbush is size. Wimbush has it, Golson does not. Golson is more than likely shorter than 6'0 and around 200 lbs, while Wimbush listed at 6-2 205lbs is more than likely around 6'1 but has the size already with the ability to add 10 more lbs and keep his 4.6-4.65 40 time. He has more straight line speed than Golson while still being elusive. Golson is more shifty and quick. Both have strong, accurate arms, but Wimbush's size is what makes him a higher touted prospect.
