November 4, 201410 yr I think ND stays at 10 or moves up one (for the ole miss loss). I think the committee is just going to have ND treading water until after the Arizona State game. If ND wins the games convincingly then the Irish will move up. If it is a squeaker, then ND is just going to stay sitting on the outside...

November 4, 201410 yr that would not surprise me at all...i've already accepted it. Yuuup. Here's another doozey. The B1G is being gifted a spot. Look at the last poll 11-16. 11.Georgia- Lost 12.Arizona- Lost 13.Baylor- Won 14.ASU- Won 15.Nebraska- Won 16.tOSU- Won So just moving slots up and assume the committee isn't ****ing retarded and keeps a 2 loss team with only one win of note above one loss teams. 10.Baylor 11.ASU 12.Nebraska 13.tOSU So MSU has a win over #12. Gonna pick up a win over number 13 maybe? If you look at Nebraska's remaining schedule, do you see a loss? Look at tOSU, if they lose to Sparty, do you see a loss? B1G by virtue of the conference being awful is going to have 3 teams finish top 20 for sure. MSU will have beaten them and get in the playoff.
November 4, 201410 yr 1. Miss. State 2. Auburn 3. FSU 4. Alabama 5. Oregon 6. TCU 7. Mich. St. 8. Kstate 9. notte dame 10. ASU/baylor
November 4, 201410 yr 1. Miss. State 2. Auburn 3. FSU 4. Alabama 5. Oregon 6. TCU 7. Mich. St. 8. Kstate 9. notte dame 10. ASU/baylor I'd flip Bama and Oregon, would also keep FSU at #2.
November 4, 201410 yr I'd flip Bama and Oregon, would also keep FSU at #2. but bama lost on road to ole miss oregon lost at home to arizona
November 4, 201410 yr but bama lost on road to ole miss oregon lost at home to arizona Quality win, Oregon bested Sparty Oregon is getting lots of sympathy for injuries in the UA loss
November 4, 201410 yr I have a feeling ND is going to drop at least a spot or 2. My opinion is based on what we saw in the AP/Coaches/ESPN PI polls, and not my hate of the committee.
November 4, 201410 yr The uproar would be at the end of the year when a 2 loss SEC team gets in the playoff ahead of us. Edited November 4, 201410 yr by PursuitAce
November 4, 201410 yr The uproar would be at the end of the year when a 2 loss SEC gets in the playoff ahead of us. I think the uproar would be what happens "if" ND climbs into the top 4 after their last game, and then has to watch what happens to the ranking when they are watching the conference championship games.
November 4, 201410 yr I think the uproar would be what happens "if" ND climbs into the top 4 after their last game, and then has to watch what happens to the ranking when they are watching the conference championship games. Look, I get that in the end, we're prolly going to be screwed and looking in from the outside...And many people on here are going to be bitching up a storm and demanding eight teams... But this four team playoff has added so much intrigue, so much discussion, to the season. The more and more I think about it, the more I believe that four teams is perfect. We've got like 50 threads dedicated to breaking down how things have to fall for us to get in. I imagine the same thing happening on Sparty forums and Big12 team forums. If it was eight teams, we wouldn't have any of this intrigue. The discussion would become less of a micro thing and more of a macro thing. It'd be "Well just how many SEC teams make it? 2? 3? 4??" This is shaping up to be one of the most interesting and compelling regular seasons in my lifetime. So many moving parts, only four spots. This has been a fantastic ride.
November 4, 201410 yr cowherd said if ND wins out there is no way they get left out. Thank God that Cowherd is on the committee.
November 4, 201410 yr That is perfect. Nice...Of course he will be a big voice advocating for that 2 loss SEC team as well.
November 4, 201410 yr Thank God that Cowherd is on the committee. I don't think the committee is going to cave to public pressure to be honest. http://i.imgur.com/jUxhR.png
November 4, 201410 yr That is perfect. Nice...Of course he will be a big voice advocating for that 2 loss SEC team as well. he was actually arguing that the SEC ends up getting left out of the playoff. says 1-loss oregon, TCU and ND are locks. the other is FSU
