I will be blunt, Heggarty and Elmer were awful today. I'm not sure what McGlinchey has to do to see the field, but it's clear that Elmer isn't living up to his hype (Sam young part 2)

I'm ready for Montelus or Hanratty inside too...

Somebody wanna tell me I'm wrong ?

They seem to be getting thin at Dline because of injuries so that may help.

They have 7 sacks on the entire season... I'm not too concerned with their pass rush.

Notable Sophomores that recently underachieved and were 'written off'...

Braxton Cave

Troy Niklas

Zeke Motta

Harrison Smith

These are just a few that came to mind off of the top of my head but i recall the fanbase generally calling out all four and lamenting why they were playing. Of course, all four came back and made significant contributions to the team. Niklas is example 1.A here ... he was a turnstile through his the first half of his soph year. Yes, Elmer is not performing well but he's only a sophomore.

And before that

Maurice Stovall

Robby Toma

D. Walker

So it will be interesting to see how the oline does this weekend. Two of our lineman could have been dominated just because the players they were up against were really good.

Rice made Elmer look like JV...

Another rough game by the OL. Played better in the 4 th quarter but it started rough.

That first fumble was hegarty's man pushing up the middle. Stanley with the consecutive holds and Elmer just needs work.

4th quarter running was good to see however.

flutie made a good ooint though about golson moving up into the pressure.

Golson had to move up that play as someone came around deep on the right side.

I was at the game so I couldn't see it. He seemed pretty PO'd after

It's the triumvirate. Martin Hegarty and Elmer

Horrible call. This was the first game I thought we might be playing the refs, especially that interference call that gave them the touch down.

The one on Onwalu was a bad call. It was right in front of me. The ref called it only after the TE complained.

Flutie should not be allowed to step foot into the stadium.

He gets a pass for beating Miami.

I agree. Isn't a qb supposed to step up?
