Every year you see Oregon in the top 5 and they always seem to blow one game, just when your thinking it's the year they put it all together.

They're fast and talented but always seem a little soft and are not tackling well tonight. I think Mariota is a good player but not on Golson's level as a passer, Oregon is one of the biggest hype machines in college football every year and they always end up shitting the bed.

You know Michigan State was a good win but let's not pretend like MSU is fielding the same team as they did last year. They lost some key guys and I wouldn't be shocked if Nebraska beats them by 10+. I think ND wins this week and seperated themselves from these pretenders like Oregon and MSU.

The pac 12 is weak and we can't afford to lose to any of the three remaining we play.

It seams like they always blow one. The last game against the Cougs showed me they are beatable. To bad 90% of this board is sleeping. WEST SIDE!! go Arizona !!!

I'm confident Notre Dame would beat Oregon, this game is not over Oregon can still lose.

This year it's the SEC who rules again and the only teams who can compete with them is Oklahoma, Florida State and Notre Dame. Yes I'm drinking the kool aid till there's none left.

This is enough to eliminate Oregon, playoff teams don't get pushed around at home to Arizona.

good call. good thread.. the anti-heisman moment and a premature celebration snaps a ducks neck again..

Wowzies !! They were so beatable. But still wow

Hate to say I told you so in my week 4 top 4 drunk rant of the week.

Can we give this award away to someone btw? I think I like that.. "DJs drunk rant of the week"

But I actually don't hate that I told yal so. Oregon is over rated, and Mariota isn't close to an NFL QB. He's pretty good throwing(with awkward arm slot) to wide open dudes and hanging out inside a pocket for 5 or 6 seconds. Reminds me a lot of Vince Young with a weaker grip and a step or two faster.

btw. Thanks for not banning me.

if that dude wins the Heisman costing his team a win directly, that award would mean nothing. I just know they like stats and he'll have plenty..

That is why it is way too early to stress about our poll position. Just handle business on Saturday and we'll be moving on up at least 1 spot.

Agreed....Mariota doesn't make NFL type throws like timing routes or anticipating when a receiver will be open

He only throws to wide open receivers

So did all of the rest of Oregon QBs. I believe you can watch them play in Arena Football now. I always knew Oregon was way overrated. I swear they get Nike love with ESPN and AP. After Chip they are one-dimensional. They always were but not they just execute on a lesser level. The Auburn-Oregon NC game might have been close score-wise but Oregon never has had the D to contend. And now teams have figured out their scheme and are exposing their run game. Mariota is MAYBE slightly better than the other QBs they have had in the past years. Golson is better there is no doubt about that.

How do you think Michigan fans feel seeing Rich Rod siting at 5 - 0 with a win over Oregon? They ran that guy out of town on a rail 'cause he wasn't a Michigan man.

Frankly, I find it beautiful.

To be fair, Oregon is missing 4 of their best 6 OL. Injuries happen, but where would ND be without Martin, Stanley, Lombard and Elmer?

I was kind of shocked to see how weak Mariotta's arm looked considering the Heisman/#1 draft pick buzz he has. He's got a bb-gun compared to Golson's lazer-rocket arm...

For god sake people, they were starting a walk-on at right tackle and a true freshman at left tackle. Imagine if Bruce Heggie was playing right tackle and Jimmy Byrne at left(It wouldn't even be Quenton Nelson, because Oregon's tackle is only a 3* kid, it was a kid that didn't expect to see the field for another two years so they took a flyer on)
