according to Kelly

Barratti---out for the season shoulder surgery again---a bad weakness his career clearly in jeopardy

Carlisle---Sprained MCL---Kelly thinks its NOT as bad as Austins---getting an MRI but Kelly thinks he will be ready for Syracuse

Luke--concussion protocol---my bet he will be back in two weeks--

Trumbettti----should be ready for Syracuse

Lombard--I didn't realize he was out and that clearly played a part in the OLINE struggles--he should be back for Syracuse--ankle sprain could have played yesterday

Tori hunter--100% by Syracuse

Grace--healed but having ankle issues trying to run having acupuncture but as most of us expected doubtful we see him anytime soon

Sounds like MOST guys will be back soon

If we could get some relief from the suspension issues it could be a big two weeks of RESTORATION of our roster----but then I might hit the lottery too

Thanks for the update! I just got on here to see if anyone had posted about the injuries yet.

When I saw Nicky come off the field with his shoulder dropped, I knew he had a serious injury. I'll give it to our D though. They love to hit hard!

nicky's football career is over.....i suspect grace's is over also.....thank god for an ND degree........

Yeah, thanks for the updates! I feel bad for Barratti. I was telling my wife that this could be the end for him for football because of all of the shoulder injuries. I wish him and the rest of the guys nothing but the best.

Just my reading into Kelly's comments, it certainly sounds like Grace's productive career is over, but that he's trying to keep his spirits up and maybe can get him a few snaps on the field late in the season before he's shut down permanently. Nothing we could really have done with his scholarship, so it made sense to let him keep working. Good example to the other kids of how much they should love their career and how hard they should work to get just one more snap.

Poor Baratti. Kelly has been beating the bush with Grace for so long. I am really starting to wonder if we will ever see him on the field again. Such a productive MLB as well. :(

i just dont see it happening hoosier.....after i saw the injury report on grace i asked an orthopedic surgeon at the hospital what his chances were of returning to the field..he just looked at me and said, "field??, that boy will never run right, let alone play football"..well, i give the kid a ton of credit for coming this far..i think kelly supports him as much to provide an example to other players with regard to overcoming adversity and displaying his philosophy of "physical and mental toughness".....

Grace might be able to come back from this. Probably not this season but maybe next. I wouldn't check him off the radar for the future based off the norm. The kid really has made unheard of progress for this type of injury.

Thanks for the updates, Hawaii, or whatever your name is... :)

Even if we don't get back the suspended players it will be a quantum leap forward as all the new guys are seeing the field early and often. I'm not giving up on Grace. My daughter really tells me he is a great person.

I remember when this was supposed to be a small recruiting class coming in.

FWIW, at least one of the S recruits that was just offered for the 2015 class said the staff told him Baratti is done with football.

Sad for Baratti, but hopeful a player like Iman sees this as an opportunity for early playing time.

Torii Hunter Jr coming back is going to have an ENORMOUS impact if he has his legs and lungs. He has is supposed to have velcro hands

He could've let the other WRs borrow them while he was healing. Very selfish.8-)
