Thought we could discuss this...

After talking about it a bit, I'm not so concerned with the run game (see the run game thread I created too)

but damn, I've never seen so many pass drops in one game!

What do you guys think? fixable? first big game jitters? Fuller was awesome, but damn, so many bobbled catches, dropped catches

and Prosise...damn

perhaps after catching 'change-ups' from rees last year....they've had trouble adapting to the 'fastballs' from golson.

They need to improve before october gets here....

ding ding ding!!!

BEST HANDS ON THE TEAM SO FAR---Ironically its Amir Carlisle

Kind of a genius move by coach who seems to be doing for CARLISLE what he did for KVR---

KVR was a second tier WR that was turned into a Star CB with a coached up position move--

Carlisle was a second tier RB that is becoming a STAR SR with a coached up position move---

Kelly doing very good work with his roster!!

you're "Mr. Positive" after a big win, aren't you???

Enjoy it for a second, will ya?

Hahaha fair enough...don't worry, I'm definitely enjoying this one...I just wanted to address some concerns I had

Fuller's TD catch was excellent. He outran Countess to the end zone and then turned around, jumped high and caught the ball way above Countess. Perfect throw and perfect go up and get it. Very exciting TD in a big game.

This was one of the game's big highlights, and yet I felt (and still feel) that it we an awful, awful play call. 3rd and less than a yard and we toss it in the corner of the end zone? Hell no. Luckily the execution was fabulous.

I don't think Franco is a pessimist for bringing up WR drops, as they were very obvious. BUT the idea that we can improve so dramatically even after opening a can is very encouraging!

Insert DeVaris Daniels, settle Fuller down, throw more to Corey Robinson and this will be a great receiving core. I have only seen one drop by Procise so I am not ready to throw him under the bus. Amir is a surprise. Golson is amazing. This is the second game and we will only get better. No injuries is a big plus. Two practice games coming us in Purdue and Syracuse.

I almost want to start a new thread, but Golson will need to clean up some throws... As Mayock suggests the first toss to Will Fuller would have been a first down if it was thrown in the right spot.

These kids were nervous and overexcited for this game. Now they know that they can perform in these situations and need to be more relaxed next time we have a big game like this.

He also threw a couple into the dirt..

I agree. I'm sure we're going to have some close games where those drops can hurt. Outsideof C Rob, who can make the tough catches?

Oh come on, that catch Fuller made for the TD was a "tough catch."

Look, Fuller's two drops were classic "running before catching" but he has been the best WR on the team so far this year. Let's not be silly here...

I think I only remember one and I believe a defender hit Golson's arm

I remember because that was right after fuller dropped another screen
