Gold Star:peace:

EG. He made it look easy and he seemed to have fun as well which wasn't always the case last time we saw him in regulation.

There were other noteworthy performers but by comparison EG was in a class by himself.

Frowny Faces:(

There were some miscues but not really any epic failures by individual players. To be honest I'd rather see some blown coverages then to be overmatched by the other teams talent. That said

CBK-This may be a bad choice due to the fact that I'm not on his level in understanding the game but his playcalling just seems off to me. His sub patterns drive me nuts. A back gets hot, then he gets taken out. and what happen with cody on the punt returns?

According to the local news, BK pulled Riggs from PR because he was getting gassed after having those big returns, and was needed more on defense than ST.

On the punt return thing, he probably just wanted to see if any of the other guys could do well. You need to have two or three guys that can do that job.

That makes sense so I wonder if GB is fielding punts, he won't be in the following possession? At least not right away.

That's understandable. It was just nice to see something other than a fumble, fair catch, or 2 yard return.

First game. Players get gassed early. Standard with conditioning.

It's nice to have enough solid backs that if he does field punts, we don't need him on the next possession. It's also nice to have 2 guys (at least) that look to be solid punt returners. Possibly a third with Amir.

Gold Stars-Receivers. With so many different options at wide out, going to be really hard for Holmes, Hunter and Brent to play. Though, not a bad situation, and doesn't make me miss Daniels.

I thought the receivers did pretty well, but not deserving of gold. Procise needs to learn how to catch with his hands. The one he dropped bounced off his pads and the one he caught very easily could have done the same. Fuller also had a drop. It was a tougher catch but could have been made. Koyack...TE/Receiver also dropped an easy one.

Daniels is pretty sure handed and another good target for Golson...ya, I still missed seeing him out there as every weapon helps.

Gold star to the 3 backs for making the most of their time. Even though I think it needs to be Bryant/Folston and then Cam, they all made the most of their time in there.

The good is Greg Bryant is going to be a beast and we have a return game for the first time since what feels like the Julius jones era, and the bad is brindza, he was definitely off today

Needs to be Bryant for 60 percent of the carries. Though, would move to see Bryant on two plays, and then use Folston or Cam. Some speed then change it up with power.

Brinza did well. He missed one fg but his punts and ko were deep.

VanGorders blitzes were mostly innefective, and what was sheldon day doing dropping in coverage?

I'm happy with a W, but I'm worried about this defense when we play someone with athletes all around.

Jameis is a dummy, and I'm pssed that Okie State couldn't pull it out.

Leg could start to get tired though later in the year. I thought he wasn't even supposed to be the starting punter?

Gosh people. Exotic blitzes will have DLs going into pass coverage. Its not that crazy. As Mayock suggested, if you wait a few seconds, the RB will win so that blitz needs to get home.

I have said for awhile that I thought Folston and Bryant were on the same level athletically, but I am now fully convinced Bryant is the most talented back on this roster by a pretty wide margin. I love Folston, and think he has the makings of a stud in college and the NFL. This is definitely a testament to how good Bryant is and not a knock on Folston.

I agree with you. I've said before that I'm not convinced Bryant is better than Folston.

Meant to say now over not. Sorry haha
