Green, a highly recruited running back in 2014, looks good. He's lost weight and looks strong and athletic. With Funchess and Gardner they are going to test our young defense in many different ways.

Their offensive line is absolutely dookie. Gardner is inconsistent but has looked good against ND in the past. The Michigan game will be a great barometer foe our OL. Their DL is really solid.

Yup this Michigan game is setting up to be really pivotal to how the rest of the year could go. Our D being as young as it is will have their hands full. if they can survive that one though it'll help the young guys gain a lot confidence.

 

If we fall to Michigan again though it would tell me that were in for another mediocre year.

Michigan will always play us tough. But it's hard to know how good Michigan really is. This isn't the same App st. Team with athletes at skill positions and coming off of back to back titles. Also a different coach and Michigan wasn't ready for the spread offense because it had yet to hit the big colleges. Anyways, F Michigan.

im not taking much from this game from scum, they play an appalachain st team that is just transitioning from an fcs team where they were 4-8 last year. color me not impressed, though i do think theyll still give us one hell of a game next week

Michigan always seems to beat us so I have to go with them next week. I still tbink we can do. etter than 8-4 and certainly 7-5. This team SHOULD go 9-3. We'll see.

I think we need all 4 guys back if we are to beat Michigan. Funchess looked really impressive so we definitely need Russell to match up on him.

 

We always seem to blow this game somehow but hopefully it's different this year. We are going to move the ball on them, I'm just worried about their offense vs our defense which will be the determining factor.

It wasn't good, but don't forget that Collinsworth got hurt late Thursday in practice, so his replacement had the walk through on Friday with the 1's....Hopefully a full week of practice will help

Did Redfield make even one standout play today? I don't remember hearing him mentioned at all.

I thought Redfield played well. He was not the one blowing assignments. Many times, when you don't hear someone's name, that is a good thing. Shumate on the other hand, stood out but in a bad way. Actually, Shumate made a few standout plays too but I think Rice started going after him. But Redfield played well. I can't remember anyone catching a pass that was his assignment. The only negative was his inability to get to the QB, when he was sent. But by that logic Jaylon didn't either. And I thought Jaylon was awesome overall.
