Not sure who it is but the investigation is concluded and they are holding another (unknown) player out of competition. Per Sportsbeat 960 just now. They said the investigation is done though but no other info than that.

This is going to be an annual thing now as ND's PR machine needs to show how virtuous they are on the road to ND being Stanfordized.

 

Of course, even Stanford wouldn't kick out of school their best football and basketball player like ND did last year.

 

Meanwhile, far worse common occurrences- like priests having sex with under 21 students (boys and girls) and dirty money that is taken with no questions asked and no repercussions- are all kept in house.

 

But woe to a kid plagiarizing a paper: he'll be smeared nationally by ND, who could keep it all in house and between ND and the NCAA, but chooses to use the players for their own self aggrandizement.

 

It makes me want to puke.

Have you ever heard of Fr. James Burtchaell? He hit on my sister's boyfriend when she was a SMC student and he was an ND student. He was having sex with students for years.

 

Currently, there is a priest rector who just was reinstated back at ND after having sex with an ND student. Problem is, he was having sex with her while she was in high school. Everybody knows this.

They seem to only tolerate it because it brings in so much money tor them and seem to bend over backwards to screw the program whenever they can.

I know nothing about the allegations, but it is safe to say that this is not the place for that kind of segue. If possible please keep this thread clean of this kind of thing as this is the best info we are getting right now about the suspensions.

When you're on campus everyday you hear and see ALOT of things that aren't brought to light.

 

Personally, I could give two squirts of **** about how "virtuous" any athlete is. The only reason you're interested in this kid AT ALL is because he is exceptionally talented (no Bruce, not you) so just keep your interest and personal investment on the field.

I don't know if I've "moved on", but I am not counting on any of the 4/5 to ever suit up. I just really want this whole thing to stop before it keeps spreading. Hardy probably wasn't going to get much PT, but it just needs to end.
