I've been looking up what the weather is going to be for this Saturdays game vs rice and their saying their could be some heavy rain and thunderstorms. I really hope theirs not another weather delay like their was in the 2011 opener vs south florida. is anyone else hearing the same thing or anything different?

I spent my entire summer in Northern Illinois, and they've had some crazy weather up there but nothing too serious. I think USF was an anomaly. While we might get a lot of wind/rain, I don't think lightning strikes will be in the area for very long.

I am not sure if you are in the Chicagoland area but the weather is really crazy as of late. Very unpredictable. I did the triathlon yesterday and the whole week it said it was going to T storm but it didn't. The morning of it said it wouldn't rain but it would be in the high 70's and it was about in the mid 90's. So... yeah. Much like the academic fraud, we will have to wait and see.

Weather.com says scattered thunderstorms, 40% chance of rain, high 82. Accuweather.com says scattered thunderstorms, 58% chance of rain, high 83. I'll be keeping tabs since I'm taking the whole family. I'll be the one throwing his kids up in the air when we score, Section 35. Go Irish!!

Who cares... it is 5 days away. The weather forecast right now means as much to me as a llama playing in the sand. Lets have this discussion 2 days before the game...

And our QB is good at throwing the ball without laces, so we'll definitely have the advantage if the game needs to be played in a phone booth.

well it looks like i'll need to wear a jacket to the game Saturday. the weather forecast for the game looks worse than it did a few days ago. calling for low 80's and an 80% chance of T-storms, just hope there's no lighting during the game.

According to Wunderground, 3-9pm is thunderstorm time...Too bad we don't live in Best Korea...

Accuweather is still saying a high of 82 and about a 50% chance of rain today. The rain is extremely spotty, small in size but can be heavy.

If today stayed like right now, it's going to be a perfect day. I doubt it will, but just sayin.

Is it still too early to worry about the weather report?

Look like rain is staying South for now.

Weather.com has "cloudy" as the outlook up to 5 pm. Sun is shining, albeit a bit weakly at this point.

While I was in Rockford and Dekalb this summer, storms would just pop up but usually those didn't have lightning. I hope for whatever reason that lightnight will stay away.

Hottest part of the day is 3, so hopefully if they do pop up its away from the stadium. I'm more worried about next Saturday, looks like even a better chance for rain.

You should have stopped by! I live just South if Dekalb.
