Not a cop, but I could watch that show all day...something about unscripted realness and the stupidity of society make for an enjoyable viewing experience...

Exhibit #1: Washing my hands in the washroom at University Park Mall in Mishawaka talking to my friend...guy comes in and says "You guys speak with funny accents; where you from?" I reply "We're from Canada..." He says "Where's that?":shock:

cops looks 100% real to me and i love that show. especially love how every guy has no shirt on when arrested. cops almost need to use that when looking for suspects...

 

"We have the suspect in custody"

"Does he have a shirt on?"

"Yes"

"Then you got the wrong guy"

Don't really watch it anymore, but I used to when I was in HS and college if it happened to be on. I guess I'd rather watch Big Bang re-runs or something educational and have a break from that reality before going into work.

 

Yes people are pretty darn stupid, and you can't fix stupid to quote Larry the Cable Guy.

If they showed the day to day nonsense meaning the boring calls and waste of time calls, the paperwork and going to court sitting around the show would suck. I enjoy the show from time to time but only in small doses and it has to be a real hot call.
