Crickets.

It's absolutely maddening. This story has been around for a month now and it was nothing but whispers. That headsetless joke of a coach suspended him after the fight for "failure to meet team standards." No mention of the fight. Now what I've heard, is he broke the guys jaw, and he had to go on breathing tubes while they wired his jaw shut. Angelique Chengelis isn't touching it. Bob Wojnowski isn't touching it. The "great blue wall" is up in full force at the Detroit papers and they are ignoring it to this point. Ignoring the trend as a whole. If this was Michigan State, the papers would be all over it.

We're not talking about Fitzgerald Toussaint getting a DUI. Darryl Stonum getting a DUI. Graham Glasgow getting a DUI. We're talking felony offenses here.

First you had Brandon Gibbons rape a girl and Taylor Lewan threaten to rape her again if she spoke up.

Marvin Robinson get arrested for breaking in and robbing a dorm room

Josh Furman beat the crap out of a guy for texting his girlfriend

Then you had Frank Clark robbing a house

Taylor Lewan punched out a guy in front of the Brown Jug

There is a serious trend of lawlessness and the Ann Arbor police are looking the other way. I've heard COUNTLESS sordid tales of football players out at the bars...They walk out on tabs, don't tip, slap waitresses on the rear, start fights...The city has been enabling this behavior for the last 4-5 years and it's coming to a boiling point...Brady has no control over this program and it is spiraling out of control.

Next can you explain to me how Brady doesn't come down on Justice Hayes for this?

Heard um's oline looked really bad in their open scrimmage from this weekend.

I heard um's 2nd and 3rd team dline where moving them around with ease.

No, we will get pressure, Gardner will either juke them out and gain like 15 yards, throw a hail mary pass and it will be completed, or throw some cork-screw pass that magically lands in the arms of a Michigan WR.

You make it sound like they have gotten lucky 3 out of the last 4 years, not like the ND has come into games completely ill-prepared 3 out of 4.

I was told that the longest run from scrimmage was 5 yards. Also heard that the O lined up on the 1 and couldn't punch it in for a TD against an average D line.

He doesn't make it sound like they got lucky. They did get lucky.

michigan's defense:

-DLine is good. supposedly their highly recruited players are really starting to put it together (pipkins, willie henry, hurst, etc) on top of their experienced players clark and beyer

-Linebackers are good

-Corners are good.. blake countess and raymon taylor are getting passed by younger guys (jabrill peppers and jourdan lewis) which says a ton about how good they must be considering blake countess and raymon taylor are experienced and pretty highly regarded

-safeties are recruited well but unproven, and probably the weakness of the D

michigans offense:

-gardner is known to be inconsistent. either plays like vince young or a d3 prospect

-oline is bad

-runningbacks seem bad but could be olines fault

-WRs lost gallon but funchess is good and darboh(hurt last year)/norfleet/canteen(true frosh) look good in practice

overall i would say good defense and bad offense unless the new OC can make gardner consistent and the OL can at least play like an avg D1 oline

Sounds about right. But, you can bet your arse that Gardner will again have the game of his life. Michigan QB's have made a living the past decade against ND.

It started when CW threw on 3rd and 1 when all he had to do was run out the clock. Then, Tate forcier juking Darius Fleming out of his jock on a critical 3rd and long to get the first. Next year Denard sets every rushing record in the book. Then, the following year, Denard throws arm punts all over the field for long completed passes to a faceless Gary Gray. Only to have a fumble mysteriously one bounce to Denard for a TD. Finally, last year, the interception prone and eighth yr senior Devin Gardner turns into Randall Cunninham/Steve Young(an older Young with precision accuracy) juking defenders and throwing two Mario midgets where not only do the spin, run and jump over us Goombas, but they score with Princess Peach. Does that sound about right? Every one of their last QBs were complete crap and we made them all-Americans only to be proven letter on in the year exactly how bad each one truly was. Did it miss a year here fellas? I mean crap, I'm nauseous just thinking how good we made them.

Notre Dame Football: Making Michigan QBs the front runner for the Heisman in September since 2009.

Are you kidding me? Michigan has been the luckiest team in the world when they play us.

Ya, BK really did not prepare the team for this...

He was probably too busy writing papers for players ..... I'm kidding!!!

That play really stunk though.

Best. Recap. Ever.

Totally agree. That sums up Michigans luck perfectly.

This clip is almost as good as the one Piratey posted 5 hours earlier. ;)

I agree with everyone above: UM has been lucky and we've been I'll prepared. For every miraculous fumble recovery, there's bad a bad coverage by Gray. For every set of blatant B1G referee miscalled, there's a missed wheel route for 70 yards. Maybe they just take this game more seriously every year??

What about Dayne Crist's eyeball seemingly falling out of its socket in the first half after cutting through their defense like hot butter on the opening drive in 2010? Sure Denard ran all over us but we still only lost the game 28-24 and we were TERRIBLE in that first half with Montana/Rees...It was 17-7 at the half...

Rees/Montana Drives...

08:56 1 00:44 ND 2plays 1yd Interception

08:06 1 01:47 ND 3plays -1yd Punt

04:32 1 01:26 ND 3plays 7yd Punt

01:26 1 01:51 ND 5playes 19yd Punt

12:39 2 02:42 ND 5plays 22yd Punt

07:39 2 01:03 ND 3plays 23yd Interception

05:53 2 02:06 ND 5plays 24yd Punt

01:51 2 01:51 ND 10plays 77yd End of half

We scored on half our drives with Crist....4 for 8(the 9th drive was with 27seconds left and a mile to go...)

24-7 in the late 3rd quarter if I recall correctly...

Yeah, that was a rough game. I remember Montana in towards the end of the half in the red zone and just chucking it into the fifth row or so. Terrible.

I thought DC was the QB of the future during that game, he never came back quite right after going blind in one eye.
