Yep Luatua looks like a force.....

But WOW---Ishaq Williams is SCARY LOOKING____

He doesn't look like any Ishaq Williams I've ever seen before

If he can play as good as he looks the DLINE will be better then we expect!

aloha's

Floyd was the smoothest receiver we have had in a decade.

Brent is looking like the most dynamic.

Brent needs to piece all the intangibles together.

Ishaq does look massive and Lautua has great size. I have been hoping for 3 years on Mr Williams. This is it. Be a beast Ishaq!

#13 is Luatua, haha he's HUGE

Floyd tracked the ball better than most and looked effortless when running his routes. Brent comes in with some momentum. He has some good ones ahead of him.

Nvm.. Watched it in retweets.

Luatua is a monster.

Good reports overall. The offense should be really good this year. Love hearing Prister's praise about this year's oline. He's about the biggest ND straight shooter you'll find along with the most credible. Here's other info. I have learned also:

1) Riggs looks like a stud. Not just on defense but possibly returns also. I really think this kid will start at corner alongside Keivarie.

2) Joe Schmidt looks to have a stronghold on the mlb position. Likes to bark a lot too and may even be the leader of the whole defense.

3) Bonner is at linebacker at 270. Crazy size there. Doubt he plays much this year at all.

4) Cage and Mokwauh are playing this year. Both tipped in at 325 and could get in better shape according to reports.

5) Heurmann still looked fairly skinny on the sideline today. Difficult to see him making an impact at this point.

6) Councell played some with the 2s and 3s some today. I expect his role to be fairly minimal frankly. Not expecting a ton from Grace either. The injury bug has hit both kids hard.

7) Jay Hayes is now at defensive end but look more like a large linebacker actually.

8 Morgan and Watkins worked some with the 2nd team also as true frosh. Almost a lock Morgan will play this year but doubt he will start this year. Must learn the defense.

All in all, I think this team is going to have a high power offense. Seriously, this is the year that we finally break through and score A LOT. Love the oline and Brown comments. This offense is stacked.

On a negative note, color me fairly concerned about our interior defense after losing Springmann. The fact that Mokwauh may play as a true frosh is alarming. We are in big trouble if Day gets hurt. Just worried about rushing teams gashing us up the middle. All in all will be a fun year. If the front 7 comes together, this team can compete with anyone. But that is a big if at this point.

Man Kelly as a receivers coach today was intense.. two feet away from the guys throwing fireballs, Point being get your feet right shoulders square, and head around before I spike you with the ball.

Here's a few updates from several of the ND sources as media was allowed today:

- Chris Brown was excellent, best WR. This was reported in summer workouts as well.

- Luatua will play this year, he is huge in a good way. Man handling people as a blocker and extremely thick lower body.

- Koyack is looking very good, very optimistic here from several reviews.

- Golson was all 1st team and smoother than Zaire today with tempo, accuracy and basically overall.

- As I noted earlier from the photos Jhonny Williams has a bigger lower body than I expected. This was commented on by the media as well and he was noted as explosive/strong today.

-any word on how grant Blankenship is doing?

- The secondary is deep. Riggs looked great/aggressive plus our younger guys were in tune.

- Ishaq had an awesome first practice by all accounts.

- John Turner got kudos today, seems to know the position very well and played well.

- Tranquill playing at safety right now.

- Fuller noted as very fast. Schmidt noted as comfortable leader of the front 7 with Jaylon.

- Cage threw up on the field to end practice.

-I've been waiting for chris brown to explode onto the scene, this maybe his year to do it.

-I noticed the same thing about Luatua when watching the practice video. the kid is much bigger then I thought, big powerfull looking kid and very thick.

-great to hear about Jhonny Williams. I think he'll eventually turn into a Justin tuck like DE. glad we flipped him from mizzu.

-fuller is easily one of my favorite wr's this year along with daniels.

-I've been waiting for chris brown to explode onto the scene, this maybe his year to do it.

agreed, this is great news that he is on the verge.

if reports are correct regarding TE and WR, this should certainly open things up for the ground game.

starting to get real excited about this offense.

right now Im not sure what the weak spot is in our offense, we seem to be loaded at every position. if qolson comes out sharp it could be a very fun offense to watch.

Anyone see #13? I remember looking at him and thinking, that guy is really out of shape, his thighs are really big and not muscular at all.....I just found out that's Tyler Luatua

That guy needs to go on Longo's workout regiment stat

Whoever talked about Tyler possibly playing this year might be wrong; just from a visual standpoint, he has redshirt written all over him

I know, sounds like the soft spot may be on the other side of the ball, lol

Here's hoping it won't be Weis era redux with the BVG D needing several years to construct

The one saving grace is that our secondary should be a top 15 unit in the country. Weis never had a secondary. Ever. I can't remember a time that we have been deeper, experienced and more talented at cornerback.
