August 22, 200618 yr two... i made this a while back (only the text not the actual picture http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g100/domer680/markmay.jpg
August 22, 200618 yr Nice post gallup. I really, really hate Mark May. He is just on of those negative guys that thinks he's a football genious and that people actually care about his "analysis". 1-5 at best!!! I remember when him and Corso said that and I just wanted to beat the piss out of both of them. Thank God Herby is on gameday and can be the voice of reason. Honestly I think that May's grudge against ND goes back to his playing days becasue they probably didn't offher him a schollie or have any interest in him when he was coming out of high school. too bad for Mark May...HAHA
August 22, 200618 yr Although I will needle him I consider him one 'street smart' cookie for a talking head of a lowlife. You see it's really easy. The 1-5 prediction, while wrong simply gets pushed aside and now it is but "They won off the talent Ty got in his year 3." He doesn't lose with this mentality and is never hooked on a wrong prediction.
August 22, 200618 yr I don't hate Mark May in fact, I believe that the powers that be at ESPNema have decided to let Mark be Pro Irish this year just watch and see
August 22, 200618 yr guys, from the blog markmaybewrong After a number of hours tailgating in the hot Arizona sun, I am sitting in the northeast corner of Sun Devil Stadium awaiting the start of the Tostito's Fiesta Bowl where my beloved Fighting Irish of Notre Dame are taking on (the) Ohio State University. Not only did I get lucky and get tickets to the game, but I am seated only three rows up from the field. In reality there is a railing, a track, and a fence in between myself and the field, but this is besides the point. Off in the distance I see someone familiar. Is it a mirage? As the gentleman approaches my initial guess is confirmed. On the track, calmly gliding along, is Mark May -- sports pundit and my sworn enemy. For the first game of the football season. I watched incredulously as Mark May imparted wisdom upon the sports world from his lofty ESPN stool. He called for the Irish to go 1-5 in their first six games. I can forgive mistakes, possible errors in judgment, but when my "favorite" pundit went on in later weeks to continually bash the Irish for no other reason than that they stole his lollypop I became incensed. From that point on Mark May was my enemy, and I would complain to anyone who would hear it (unfortunately for my office mate). So, you can imagine the golden opportunity I was presented with this chance encounter. True he was probably 12 feet away with multiple security guards in between me and any route to him, but I still let him have it: "Hey MARK! 0 and 6!?! Are you [expletive deleted] KIDDING ME!? GREAT JOB YOU ASSHOLE!! HOW ABOUT YOU GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR [expletive deleted] ASS!" This goes on for about a minute more As one can surmise, I had been tailgating for quite some time. At this point, I am feeling pretty good with myself. Score one for the good guys. Mark is walking along with a female and a rather large man with a walkie-talkie. Before my little tirade, this individual was located on Mark's right, with Mark closest to me. During this tirade Mark slows and has the large man with the walkie talkie switch to his left. He then scratches the side of his head with his middle finger. Yes ladies and gentlemen, Mark May flipped me off.
August 22, 200618 yr flipped by Mark Mays . What an honor. Glad to see mark hasn't lost his street sense in his move up the ladder. Someone give him a better paint brush for painting future predictions.
August 23, 200618 yr hey Gallup, give the guy a break, now he says that the Irish will be really great with the fellas left over from the Ty days....................... give me a break, mark predicts that the Irish will be 10 wins this season as they don't play anyone that's has a great team , except usc and maybe Penn state. mark is getting the hype going poor mark he gets so much abuse
August 23, 200618 yr Author Mark will always get the abuse - I always say if he looks like a rat and smells like a rat - HE MUST BE A RAT!!!!!
August 23, 200618 yr He then scratches the side of his head with his middle finger. Mark gets cool points for that.... I don't hate Mark, I am just curious how and why he has a job as a College Football Expert. I believe ESPN thinks a good player = an expert on the subject.....which Mark has shown is not the case. He is the Ty Willingham of college football analysts. He may be a cool guy and all, but he is clearly working in a field that he has no business in….
August 23, 200618 yr Author Irish this is classic stuff "He is the Ty Willingham of college football analysts"
August 23, 200618 yr i wish they would bring back trev alberts, i've always liked him and he really knows what he's talking about.
August 23, 200618 yr i hated alberts i mean the only reason i did is cuz he sucked up to iowa all the time and i cant stand the hawkeyes...even know i live here but the fans have the biggest mouths in the world
August 24, 200618 yr didnt want to do this,,,,,, but mark may is a pretty stupid dude.. i mean 0-5 nice one bro..thats just lame
August 24, 200618 yr hey guys got to give the mark man credit, he now says that the Irish will be better this year than last years 9-3 . he is just doing what the boss wants and he does fire up those of us that love the Irish, don't care for the man, but hey i really didn't like Steve superior of south Carolina, gamecocks, but at least he picked us 14 th after duke and all that crap. i promised that i would say too much about the MARK MAN, this year. maybe he will give us a good report. go irish
THOUGHT I WOULD START THIS POST !!!!!
