Kelly Gruene 26
Here are the remaining games: Navy (won 4, lost 3; biggest win: Pitt (4-3)) Pitt (won 4, lost 3; biggest win: Duke (6-2)) BYU (won 6, lost 2; biggest win: Texas (5-2)) Stanford (won 7, lost 1; biggest win: UCLA (5-2)) These last 4 games look tougher than I thought a few weeks ago. Duke is no push-over this year and Pitt beat them. BYU is looking strong. Navy, who knows? Who thinks ND runs the table? If we lose, who to? ndmike88 141
No way they run the table. Stanford is a loss and it wouldn't surprise me if any one of the remaining 3 beat ND. 8-4 is what I think the record will be with the Irish playing in a secondary bowl. NYNDIRISH723 14
I really think we are gonna run the table until we get to Stanford. We are gonna have to play a pretty great game (if not perfect) though if we plan on going up to Palo Alto and leaving with a win.

toddrhodes 98
On any given day.... I have not descended to that level of pessimism, thankfully. Biggest thing to me is, they get two option teams in a row. They'll carry over the momentum they had from the last 40 minutes of the AF game into this weekend. Spread athletes, not size, all over the field and let them eat

davislove 0
BYU worries me and we're not expected to beat Stanford. That said, ND seems to play better against teams that attack you head on with out many gimmicks. Those pesky running qb's are what gives them fits. We can beat Stanford or at least make a good showing of it imo.

IRISH812 0
Definitely not an easy end to the year. I think we will handle Navy since we are well prepared for the option now. After coming off two straight weeks of playing option teams, however, I'm worried about going on the road against a Pitt team that has shown the ability to air it out this year at times. JTennant 290
I was 10-2 preseason and after the Purdue game I was thinking more 6-6 or 7-5, so I've been all over the place. I think the only shoe-in we have left is Navy. Pitt and BYU is going to be a slug fest.
LionEyes 0
I think 85% we beat Navy 70% we beat Pitt 55% we beat BYU 30% we beat Stanford
Irish_Convert 1
Navy is a should win and it helps that some of the young bucks on the D who have been thrown into the mix are fresh off defending another option team. Pitt should be a win but not unlike Purdue, they often find a way to keep things interesting. BYU is a toss up. They're solid if unspectacular and they will come to play. I'm not terribly confident going into Stanford. They're a good team and they generally play us tough. I think 2-2(8-4) is the worst case scenario and 3-1(9-3) is the best case. It's certainly possible that we run the table but I wouldn't lay money on it. I would probably be calling for Kelly's head if we finished under my worst case scenario. Even considering our limitations at QB, injuries and youth, 1-3 or 0-4 would be unacceptable.
97domer 89
I'm starting to worry about BYU. I believe they have the 2nd fastest tempo of any offense behind Cal (Oregon is 3rd, I believe.) I'm worried about our Defense wearing down in a game like that. I think we beat Navy and Pitt; I think we lose to Stanford. Yes, Stanford is beatable, but probably not by us. Regardless, it should be a fun end to the season!
piratey 6
Never in my wildest dreams would I picture this fanbase, quaking in their boots at the prospect of playing Navy and BYU at home. Sweet Jesus. BYU's offense puts up yards between the 20's but they are plagued by an inconsistent QB and an even worse Red Zone offense than us. Against a schedule that makes Ohio State blush, they are only getting in the end zone 48% of the time.(We're bad and we're at 58%) And I swear, I want to violently shake and then slap the next person that offers this "ooo navy scares me" rhetoric. This isn't a 10 win Ricky Dobbs lead Navy team. This is a 4-3 team that's lost to Western Kentucky and Toledo for god sake. Beating Pittsburgh just speaks to the dumpster fire that Pitt has become after firing Wannstedt. Unbunch your panties and be reasonable. Losing to anyone but Stanford is a Weis-ian thing to do and you people are still stuck in a Weis-era, woah is me, mentality.
