Hopefully BK prepares a backup for this game like he admitted to not doing last game. Granted that this is an AF team who should not pose much of a problem, but on the off chance TR gets hurt or has to be taken out of the game, someone has to be ready to go so we don't watch a similar version of the USC 2nd half.

No kidding! That was a huge screw up on BK's part. They should always be prepared if something like that were to happen, especially against USC.

Their pass defense is second to last in the nation. Tommy usually does really well against these types of teams. ND's WR will be superior to their DB's and Tommy knows where to throw the ball. Being a little off won't matter since the WR will be open by 2-3 steps. Should be a big day for DD, TJ and Troy.

Upside TR can throw the ball farther.

 

Downside is this will make his already high throws uncatchable

I actually think BK was just taking the fall like a good coach should do, but seriously, what else can the coaching staff do for Hendrix? The guy is a senior and should be able to throw a ball 5-10 yards accurately and not throw it into the dirt...I seriously had flashes of Dayne Crist

I agree. BK was not protecting Hendrix, BK was protecting NDs lead and didn't want to see Hendrix hand the game over. thank goodness the defense showed up like you said and bailed him out.

I nearly pulled all the hair out of my head. An incredible lack of preparation by the coaching staff and the standard lack of execution by Hendrix.

it was hard to watch...just clinging on the defense for the win...hard to watch, kind of cant believe they didnt even get 3 more points. Thank the maker for USC holding penalties.

I remember seeing BK look at the game clock and that look come accross his face when Hendrix went in. It was like " okay.... how many more posessions will we have and they have....hmmmmmmmm.... okay. We go to the the 2 quarter stall game and hope for the best".
